Das Finale ist frisch-fruchtig und intensiv. Es klingt noch länger nach.Der Carmen Merlot der im Wortsinne ausgezeichneten Viña Carmen, einem der ältesten Weingüter Chiles, ist ein guter Begleiter zu Gerichten mit Lachs oder zu weißem Fleisch. Viña Tondonia Reserva DOC 2012

The Vina Tondonia Reserva from the legendary López de Heredia family winery is a flagship of classic Rioja tradition. Located near Haro, the estate is one of the oldest and most respected producers in the region - with an uncompromising focus on craftsmanship, time and authenticity.In the glass, the Vina Tondonia Reserva is a deep red, slightly amber in color. The nose reveals a deep, multi-layered aroma of dried red fruits, tobacco, vanilla, almonds and delicate balsamic notes. On the palate, this dry red wine is finely structured, supple and rich in nuances - with well-integrated acidity, firm tannins and a long, elegant finish. A Rioja with soul and substance.The Cuvee traditionally consists mainly of Tempranillo, supplemented by Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo. The grapes come from the famous Vina Tondonia vineyard, which stretches along the Ebro river. The ageing process is uncompromisingly traditional: at least six years in old oak barrels, regularly racked by hand, followed by several years of bottle ageing in the cellar - only then is the wine released.A great accompaniment to lamb, game, mature hard cheese, braised dishes or fine Mediterranean cuisine. The Vite Colte Barbera d'Asti Superiore Luna e i Falo is made from 100% Barbera grapes. The vineyards in the famous Piedmont wine region cover 60 hectares and are carefully tended by the winegrowers. The yield is low, but of high quality. The aim of the Vite Colte winery is to obtain a better wine with the best balance between structure and aroma.Vinification is carried out in the traditional way with a 10-day maceration at a temperature of 20-30 °C, followed by malolactic fermentation. The wine matures for around 12 months in barriques, where this well-structured Barbera continues to improve and develop into a complex and elegant wine.The color of the Superiore is ruby red and the bouquet is rich and deep, with a complex balance of violet, licorice and vanilla notes. On the palate, this Italian red wine is crisp and dry with a long finish.

Warwick Professor Black Pitch Black 2022

The Professor Black Pitch Black produced by the South African Warwick winery unites the famous Bordeaux grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Malbec with the Cinsault grape variety that is very common in South Africa. This combination might seem unusual, but it creates a very special red wine. The Cinsault grapes give this wine a pungent freshness and vividness. The Warwick Professor Black Pitch Black has an enticing bouquet hinting of currants, paprika, vanilla and fresh cedar. On the palate, it offers expressive earthy aromas and notes of various spices. Due to the 18 months of ageing in French oak casks, the wine shows lots of extract and depth. Its fruity aromas of plums and raspberries are impressive, while the finish is extremely concentrated and long-lasting. The Professor Black Pitch Black can already be enjoyed now if you give it some time to breathe before you drink it. However, it will be a real delight over the next ten years as well.The wine is an excellent accompaniment to a classic pork roast, roast leg of lamb or a juicy steak.

Warwick The First Lady Cabernet Sauvignon 2023

Der Warwick First Lady Cabernet Sauvignon hat eine tiefe rote Farbe. Im Bouquet rote Beeren sowie schwarze Johannisbeeren mit einem Hauch von Kräutern, ergänzt mit Vanille und Schokolade. Der Wein ist geschmeidig, vollmundig mit reifen Tanninen und guter Struktur.Der 100-Prozent Cabernet Sauvignon reifte 18 Monate lang in französischen Eichenfässern. Mit mehr als 20 Hektar Anbaufläche ist Cabernet Sauvignon die bestimmende Traube beim familiengeführten Weingut Warwick, das insgesamt über eine Anbaufläche von 56 Hektar verfügt. Die Ratcliffes erkannten schnell, dass sich das Terroir in der Provinz Westkap ideal für den Anbau von Cabernet Sauvignon eignet. Der erste Wein, den Norma Ratcliffe kreierte, war dementsprechend ein Cabernet Sauvignon. Deshalb trägt er auch den Namen „First Lady“.Der Wein passt gut zu Lammbraten, Eintöpfen und Schweinefleisch.
