The Warwick First Lady Cabernet Sauvignon has a deep red color. On the nose, red berries and blackcurrants with a hint of herbs, complemented by vanilla and chocolate. The wine is smooth, full-bodied, with ripe tannins and good structure.

The 100-percent Cabernet Sauvignon matured for 18 months in French oak barrels. With more than 20 hectares under cultivation, Cabernet Sauvignon is the dominant grape at the family-run Warwick winery, which has a total area under cultivation of 56 hectares. The Ratcliffes quickly realized that the terroir in the Western Cape province was ideal for growing Cabernet Sauvignon. Accordingly, the first wine that Norma Ratcliffe created was a Cabernet Sauvignon. This is why it bears the name "First Lady".

The red wine goes well with roast lamb, stews and pork.
