Vignole Chianti Classico DOCG 2022

The locals refer to the area where the grapes for the Vignole Chianti Classico DOCG grow as the "Conca d'Oro" - the golden cauldron. It is one of the best vineyards in Tuscany.This cuvée is made from Sangiovese and Merlot. The combination of these two grape varieties guarantees the authentic character of this Chianti. In the glass, it is a bright cherry red. The bouquet is characterized by aromas of red berries and violets. This Chianti tickles the palate with a mixture of berries, plums and black cherries as well as a hint of mint and cinnamon.Serve this red wine at a drinking temperature of 16-18 °C. The Vilafonté Series C is a classic Bordeaux blend from South Africa. A red wine of the highest quality that represents the perfect work of the Vilafonté crew. Not many wines of this type make it to the wine Olympics, and the Vilafonté Series C is one of them.In the glass, it presents itself with a dark red-black color that fades to a light ruby-red rim. The nose is spoiled by a multi-layered palette of aromas. Notes of incense and violet blossom are surrounded by delicious black plum, fresh blackcurrant and boysenberry. After some time in the glass, subtle hints of sandalwood, fine tobacco and juicy juniper emerge. The carefully selected Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec grapes are vinified with the utmost care to perfectly preserve their unique aromas and complex structure. On the palate, the Vilafonté Series C is wonderfully lush with silky tannins. Villa Antinori Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva 2022

This traditional wine is pure Tuscany: The Villa Antinori Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva is a blend of mostly Sangiovese and smaller amount of Cabernet. The Antinori wine offers a diverse bouquet with notes of blackberries and blueberries. There are also notes of oak and nice spicy notes, especially clove, and an aromatic finish.On the palate, this wine is invogorating from the start. The tannins are supple and yet noticeable. The finish of the Villa Antinori Chianti Classico DOCG Riservais fruity, and the oak notes are long lasting. 60% of the wine was aged in large oak barrels. The remaining shares matured in French and Hungarian barriques (once or twice used). In addition, a smaller proportion of new barrels was used.The heat wave in August and September was a real challenge for the Antinori-winemakers. Nevertheless, this Antinori wine is excellent again. Enjoy this premium product from Tuscany to pasta dishes from the oven or other traditional Italian dishes.

Viña Carmen Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

This single-varietal Cabernet Sauvignon from the Maipo Alto Valley offers a multi-faceted bouquet. The Carmen Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvingon smells of ripe berries such as black cherries and blackcurrants, a sweetish spice (mint, paprika and pepper) and tobacco. On the palate, this red wine from Chile is full-bodied, with a smooth texture and sweet, concentrated and velvety tannins. This Reserva has a great length.The Carmen Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvingon was matured for 14 months in French oak barrels. The dry red wine is already a wonderful taste experience, but can also be stored for another 6 to 7 years.Viña Carmen was founded in 1850, making it one of the oldest wineries in Chile. The winery was also a driving force behind the renaissance of the Carmenere grape variety in the mid-1990s. The old Bordeaux grape variety had almost completely disappeared in France due to the phylloxera plague. However, it found its way to Chile at the time. There it remained undiscovered for decades, as Carmenere and Merlot vines are very similar. For many years, there was the "Chilean Merlot", which was particularly spicy with notes of green pepper. It was not until 1994 that it was discovered that the cause of these particular notes was a "stowaway", so to speak, in the growing regions: the Carmenere grape variety.Over the decades, Viña Carmen's outstanding locations in Chile and extensive experience in viticulture have earned it many international awards, both for the winery as a whole and for many individual creations. The Carmen Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvingon, for example, received a proud 92 points from James Suckling for the current vintage and the Platinum Medal with 97 points at the Decanter World Wine Awards.Enjoy the Carmen Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvingon with rabbit or duck as well as a more intense cheese such as parmesan or cheddar. Dieser reinsortige Carménère aus dem Colchagua-Tal duftet intensiv fruchtig und würzig. Noten von Schwarzkirschen prägen das Bukett, dazu schöne Töne von Lorbeer, Gewürznelken, dunkler Schokolade sowie von Oliven und auch Tabak. Auch merkliche Nuancen von Pfeffer und Paprika, typisch für chilenischen Carménère. Am Gaumen ist der Carmen Gran Reserva Carménère angenehm strukturiert und konzentriert, mit weichen und samtigen Tanninen. Der tief rubinrot schimmernde Wein reifte für 14 Monate in französischen Eichenfässern heran. Sein Alterungspotenzial liegt bei 6 bis 7 Jahren. Der bekannte US-Weinkritiker James Suckling urteilte: „Wirklich wunderschöne Aromen von Brombeeren und Blumen mit schwarzem Lakritz und Pilzen, gefolgt von einem vollen Körper.“ Zugleich sei der Rotwein „dicht und präzise mit einer feinen Tannin-Textur und einem langen, würzigen Abgang“.Probieren Sie den Carmen Gran Reserva Carménère zu würzigen Pasta-Variationen, Fasan oder Ente. Die ideale Trinktemperatur liegt bei etwa 18 Grad. Unsere Empfehlung: Öffnen Sie den Wein etwa eine Stunde vor dem Genuss.
