Antiche Terre Valpolicella Ripasso DOC Superiore 2022

Können, Leidenschaft und Arbeit lassen auf dem Weingut Antiche Terre den Antiche Terre Valpolicella Ripasso DOC Superiore entstehen. Umgeben von Terrassen voller Weinberge am Rande von Valpolicella hat der bekannte Rotwein seinen Ursprung. Corvina Veronese, Corvinone und Rondinelle Trauben werden nach Tradition vollständig von Hand geerntet, um die Pflanzen so wenig wie möglich zu belasten und die Qualität der Trauben intakt zu halten.Nach einer sorgfältigen Pressung der Trauben und 10 tägiger Gärung bei 25°C wird der Wein gefiltert und in Edelstahltanks gelagert. Es folgt eine für den Ripasso typische zweite Gärung auf dem Trester des Amarone. Diese dauert 4-5 Tage. Danach wird der Wein für 12 Monate auf französischer Eiche ausgebaut.Im Glas leuchtet dieser komplexe Rotwein in einer tiefen rubinroten Farbe. In der Nase zeigen sich fruchtige Noten von Kirschen, Schokolade und frischen Kräutern. Ein vollends strukturierter Wein mit einem vollen und weichen Geschmack und einer perfekten Balance zwischen Tanninen und Säuren.

Argentiera Bolgheri Superiore 2019

The Maremma is a characterful landscape in central Italy, which is also known for its excellent wines. Argentiera Bolgheri Superiore from Tenuta Argentiera has a bright ruby red color with violet hues. On the palate, notes of licorice and black currants. This generous, complex wine - consisting of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc - is rich in tannins. It has a wonderful balance with a pleasant acidity. The finish is long lasting - with a remarkable freshness and minerality.The harvested grapes come from the best vineyards of the estate. The grapes were vinified separately; fermentation and maceration took about 25 to 30 days in stainless steel tanks. The wine was then transferred to 225-liter French oak barriques, where its malolactic fermentation was completetd. The further maturation was about 14 months in oak barrels and then at least another 12 months on the bottle.Tenuta Argentiera is located on the picturesque coast of the Northern Maremma, about 100 km southwest of Florence.

Argentiera Eco di Mare Vermentino Toscana IGT 2025

Eco di Mare is Argentiera’s interpretation of the Tuscan Vermentino. The grapes come from west-facing vineyards at elevations ranging from 20 to 80 meters above sea level on the characteristic red Aeolian sandy soils of Donoratico. These coastal sites give the wine its pronounced freshness and mineral character.The grapes are harvested by hand. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, where the wine ferments for a total of 15 days and then remains on the fine lees for two months. This is followed by three months of aging in stainless steel tanks and an additional three months of bottle aging to optimally preserve freshness, precision, and varietal character.On the nose, the wine displays a delicate and elegant aromatic profile. On the palate, it impresses with pronounced minerality, vibrant freshness, and superbly integrated acidity, which highlight the wine’s clear fruit and the unmistakable character of Vermentino.This Vermentino pairs excellently with oysters, grilled fish, seafood, and Mediterranean appetizers. It is also an ideal accompaniment to light pasta dishes or summer salads with herbs.

Argentiera Scenario Bolgheri Bianco DOC 2024

The Scenario Bolgheri Bianco DOC is the result of the Argentiera winery’s intensive research into Vermentino. The grapes come from a north-facing vineyard at an elevation of 60 to 80 meters above Villa Donoratico. The vines grow on continental sandy and flysch soils, whose varying characteristics are specifically harnessed to highlight the aging potential and versatility of the Vermentino grape variety.The grapes are harvested by hand. Fermentation takes place under temperature control at 16 to 18 °C, partly in spherical stoneware vessels (Clayvers) with a capacity of 400 liters and partly in untoasted, steam-bent wooden barrels, known as Cigares. The wine then ages on its fine lees for nine months in the same vessels before spending an additional 14 months aging in the bottle. The different aging vessels lend the wine additional complexity: The elongated shape of the Cigares intensifies contact with the fine lees, while the spherical Clayvers keep the wine constantly in motion, giving it a silky-smooth texture.On the nose, the Scenario impresses with an expressive bouquet that highlights the freshness and varietal characteristics of Vermentino. On the palate, it is precise and multi-layered, with a fine texture, lively freshness, and remarkable complexity resulting from the combination of the two vinification and aging methods.This Vermentino pairs excellently with grilled fish, seafood, and shellfish, as well as with delicate pasta dishes featuring Mediterranean herbs. It is also an excellent choice with white meat poultry or creamy goat cheese.
