Genießen Sie diesen feinfruchtigen Weißwein zu leichten Fischgerichten, sommerlichen Salaten oder zu Muscheln in Weißweinsud mit geröstetem Baguette oder Spargel.Der grüne Wein, so die wörtliche Übersetzung von Vinho Verde, stammt aus dem Anbaugebiet zwischen den Flüssen Douro und Minho im Norden des Landes. In dieser sehr feuchten Region (jährlich fallen bis zu 2000mm Niederschlag) werden ca. 25% des portugiesischen Weines erzeugt. Der schon im Jahr 1908 gesetzlich definierte DOC Bereich für Rot- und Weißweine ist somit das größte Anbaugebiet für Qualitätsweine. Das Grün bezieht sich hier nicht auf die Farbe des Weines, sondern auf die im Norden Portugals befindliche Minho-Region, die aufgrund der frischeren Witterung grünere Landschaften hat als im restlichen Land.

Typische Noten reifer, weißer Früchte machen diesen Wein aus Italien zu einem gern getrunkenen Klassiker.Der Weißwein aus der beliebten Rebe Pinot Gris und Chardonnay zeigt alle Charaktereigenschaften, für die der trockene, körperreiche Grauburgunder von Kennern geschätzt wird.
