Der Wein zeigt sich mit hellem Strohgelb, der Geruch ist offen und zugänglich, subtil und verspielt mit Aromen nach weißem Pfeffer, etwas Tabak und Exotik. Eine erfrischende Säure paart sich mit fülligem Körper und mittlerem Alkohol. Hinzu kommt etwas Akazie und Birne im Aroma. Langer Abgang!Die besten Trauben von kleinen Wachauer Terrassenweingärten werden für die hochwertigen Rieden-Cuvées dieser Serie selektioniert. Von unterschiedlichen Lagen zwischen Loiben und Spitz kommt Grüner Veltliner für diese Terrassen-Abfüllung. Ziel ist es, einen typischen Wachauer Stil, geprägt durch das besondere Klima und den Urgesteins-Boden, zu repräsentieren.Grüner Veltliner ist mittlerweile eine international anerkannte Top-Rebsorte. Bei entsprechender Behandlung im Weingarten sind Weine von großem Format möglich, so auch Smaragde wie dieser. Grüner Veltliner bietet ein breites geschmackliches Spektrum. Selbst bei dichten und substanzreichen Weinen bleibt die Eleganz durch eine feste und reife Säure erhalten. Qualitätskategorie Smaragd ist die höchste Kategorie in der Wachau. Die prächtige Smaragdeidechse, die sich auf den Wachauer Urgesteinsmauern sonnt, stand dieser Weinkategorie Namenspate: trockene, dichte, komplexe Weine mit Wachauer Finesse ab 13,0% Alkoholgehalt und großem Lagerpotential.Eine nur händisch durchzuführende und mühsame Bearbeitung der steilen Steinterrassen-Weingärten und der karge Boden reduzieren den Ertrag auf unter 6.000 kg/ha. Grüner Veltliner Trauben für diesen Wein wurden Ende Oktober bis Anfang November geerntet. Nach der Gärung in Edelstahltanks bei kühlen Temperaturen wurde der Wein nach anfänglicher Lagerung im Stahltank kurze Zeit im großen Holzfass ausgebaut.Ideal bei gekühlter Serviertemperatur frisch aus dem Kühlschrank passt der Wein zu gebratenem Fisch und zu Fisch in cremigen Saucen, zu gebackenen Gerichten, zu Tafelspitz, zu Innereien und gebratenem hellen Fleisch. Schon in der Jugend sehr zugänglich, aber auch 4-6 Jahre lagerfähig.

Auf unterschiedlichen Terrassen-Lagen in der Wachau, insbesondere in Spitz, im Spitzer Graben, in Dürnstein und Weißenkirchen wächst Riesling für diesen Terrassen-Wein. Ziel ist es, einen typischen Wachauer Stil, geprägt durch das besondere Klima und den Urgesteins-Boden, zu repräsentieren. RebsorteRiesling ist ein internationaler Klassiker unter den Rebsorten. Österreichweit liegt der Riesling-Anteil unter den Rebsorten bei etwas über 3% - bei der Domäne Wachau bei fast 20%. Riesling aus der Wachau überzeugt durch seine Klarheit, Aromatiefe und vor allem durch außerordentliche Eleganz und Finesse bei toller Substanz.Qualitätskategorie Federspiel spiegelt das klassische österreichische Weißweinprofil wider. Es verbindet die Frische einer Steinfeder mit der Kraft und Komplexität eines Smaragdes. Federspiel-Weine werden bei maximal 12,5% Alkohol geerntet.VinifizierungDie auf größtenteils steilen Steinterrassen kultivierten Reben werden bei einem Ertrag von ca. 6.000 kg/ha geerntet. Trauben für Riesling Federspiel Terrassen wurden Anfang bis Mitte Oktober geerntet. Nach der Gärung in Edelstahltanks bei kühlen Temperaturen bis max. 18°C wurde der Wein im Stahltank ausgebaut.

Donnafugata Sur Sur Grillo DOC comes from vineyards in south-western Sicily, in the hilly hinterland between Marsala and Salemi. Above-average temperatures in July favored the ripening process of the grapes. The large temperature differences between day and night have produced an extraordinary intensity of aroma in the grapes.This white wine from the typical Sicilian Grillo grape variety has notes of fruit with light flesh, especially peach. The bouquet is complemented by wonderfully animating notes of fresh field flowers and freshly cut grass. Wonderfully soft and pleasantly balanced on the palate.Grillo is an indigenous grape of Sicily, but "Grillo" (the cricket) is also a small animal that brings good luck. The name sur, which means cricket, comes from the classical Arabic language, which was also spoken in Sicily. The Dornier Cocoa Hill Chenin Blanc comes from the Stellenbosch and Swartland wine regions in the Western Cape, South Africa. Inspired by the adventurous story of the pirate Long Ben, who once made Table Bay unsafe and later planted vines on Cocoa Hill, this wine embodies the spirit of the coast and the fertile soils that produce the grapes today.This versatile grape variety has been vinified into a fresh and fruity style of wine with a vibrant, bright color. On the nose, the white wine has delicate aromas of passion fruit and lychee, which continue on the palate with a lively and refreshing acidity. The Dornier Semillon is an excellent white wine that perfectly unites the fascinating combination of tradition and modern winemaking. This single-varietal white wine comes from a unique single vineyard in Stellenbosch, which offers ideal conditions for grape quality with its weathered granite soil and cool microclimate. With its bright golden color and complex aromas, this wine impressively demonstrates the character and finesse of the Semillon grape.The grapes are harvested by hand at optimum ripeness, ensuring that the best fruit is carefully selected and sorted in the vineyard. The must is fermented in new and second 300-liter French oak barrels and remains on the lees for nine months. This long ageing on the fine lees gives the wine its rich, creamy texture and additional complexity.Intense aromas of lemon zest, fresh hay, caramelized apple and honey unfold on the nose and shape the elegant character of the Semillon. The aromatic diversity continues on the palate with notes of quince, lemon meringue and brioche. Der Wein wird aus Trauben des renommierten Weingutes Dr. Koehler hergestellt, die zuvor auf den sonnenverwöhnten Hügeln Rheinhessens gewachsen sind. Die lösslehmhaltigen Böden sind wie geschaffen für den Weinanbau und verleihen den Reben Aussagekraft und Aroma.Die Struktur dieses Grauburgunders ist sehr gut ausgeprägt. Am Gaumen paart sich der Geschmack gelber Steinfrüchte mit einer gewissen Würze und Nussigkeit. Gerade am Anfang kann man durchaus Tendenzen von Walnüssen und/oder Mandelkernen wahrnehmen. Dennoch besitzt der Wein auch eine fruchtige Komponente, die Tendenzen von Grapefruit und Aprikose aufweist.Dieser Sauvignon Blanc ist Ergebnis der kompetenten Arbeit des rheinhessischen Winzers Christian Dreissigacker, der seit 2006 die Geschicke des Weinguts Dr. Koehler in Bechtheim leitet. Auf den sonnenreichen Hügeln liegen hervorragende Wachstumsbedingungen für die erstklassigen Reben vor. Der Boden ist sehr ergiebig und verspricht eine großartige Ernte. In den Kellergewölben der Winzerei reift der Wein schließlich zum finalen Produkt, das später am besten leicht gekühlt, aber nicht zu kalt, genossen wird.Dieser trockene Weißwein harmoniert bestens zu Fisch und hellem Fleisch.
