The Bulgarini 010 Lugana DOC is a particularly expressive interpretation of the indigenous Turbiana grape variety and comes from the morainic hills surrounding Pozzolengo, south of Lake Garda. Old vines, around 40 years old, and the characteristic soils of clay and fine gravel give this Lugana its impressive structure, finesse, and pronounced minerality.In the glass, the Lugana displays an intense straw-yellow color with golden highlights. The bouquet delights with aromas of peach and apricot, accompanied by exotic fruit notes, honey, and subtle hints of spice. On the palate, it is intense, mineral, and harmonious, with an elegant structure and a long, fruity finish.After temperature-controlled fermentation, part of the wine matures for six months in French oak tonneaux, while the remainder is aged on the fine lees in stainless steel tanks. This allows the Bulgarini 010 Lugana DOC to combine freshness and finesse with added complexity and depth.The Bulgarini 010 Lugana DOC pairs excellently with seafood, spicy poultry dishes, veal, and medium-aged cow’s milk or goat’s milk cheeses. The Castellana winery cultivates a vineyard called Cantarranas, from which the grapes for this refreshing wine come. The Cantarranas Rueda Verdejo DO has a light, straw-yellow color in the glass.
