Der Gritsch Kalmuck Grüner Veltliner Federspiel sagt schon mit seinem Namen, dass es sich um einen besonderen Weißwein handelt. So ist Federspiel die Bezeichnung für Wachauer Weine des Verbandes Vinea Wachau Noblis Districuts, ein Zusammenschluss von Winzern mit dem Ziel, die Weine des gesetzlich abgegrenzten Weinbaugebietes Wachau in ihrer Qualität und ihrer Bekanntheit zu fördern. Gleichzeitig handelt es sich um eine Gebietsmarke der gleichnamigen Winzervereinigung.Die Rebsorte Grüner Veltliner wächst in verschiedenen Weingärten am linken Donauufer von Spitz bis Loiben. Die Trauben werden von Hand geerntet. Es folgt eine schonende Pressung und Verarbeitung. Die Gärung ist temperaturkontrolliert und findet in Edelstahltanks statt. Anschließend reift der Rebsaft auf der Feinhefe.Der reinsortige Gritsch Kalmuck Grüner Veltliner Federspiel zeigt sich in der Nase mit komplexen Aromen von schwarzen Pfeffer und Weideblüten, sowie einem Hauch von Melisse und grünem Apfel. Die Mitte ist zart-schmelzig und im Abgang ist der Kalmuck herbfruchtig.

Gritsch Riesling Federspiel 1000 Eimerberg 2022

Der 1000-Eimerberg ist das eindrucksvollste Wahrzeichen des österreichischen Ortes Spitz. Rund 1000 Eimer (1 Eimer = ca.56 Liter) Wein sollen von diesem Berhang einst geerntet worden sein. Hier wachsen die Riesling Reben des Gritsch Riesling Federspiel 1000 Eimerberg. Für das Weingut Gritsch bedeutet die steile Hangneigung (bis zu 70%) des 1000 Eimerberges, dass nur eine Ernte von Hand möglich ist. Nach der Ernte folgen eine schonende Pressung und Verarbeitung der Trauben. Die Gärung findet temperaturkontrolliert in Stahltanks statt, woraufhin der Ausbau auf der Feinhefe folgt.Hervorgebracht wird ein lebhafter Weißwein mit heller Frucht und einer knackigen Säure. Anklänge von Zitrusfrüchten, ein geradliniger und filigraner Charakter und die schiefrige Mineralität sind typische Merkmale für diesen Riesling. Das Bouquet bietet dezente Anklänge von Marillen und Limonen. Am Gaumen präsentieren sich etwas Pfirsich und Zitruszesten.

Die Trockenbeerenauslesen (TBA) von Kracher zählen zur absoluten Weltspitze im Bereich der Süßweine. Speziell die Kracher Trockenbeerenauslese Grande Cuvée No. 5 Nouvelle Vague 2019 verzaubert einmal mehr die internationale Weinkritik. 98 Punkte in Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate und von James Suckling: Viel mehr geht nicht. Wer das große Glück hat, eine dieser Kracher-Kreationen öffnen zu dürfen, kann sich auf ein intensives Fest für die Sinne freuen.Der Süßwein aus dem österreichischen Burgenland ist eine Komposition aus 60% Welschriesling und 40% Chardonnay. Die Trockenbeerenauslese Grande Cuvee No. 5 Nouvelle Vague 2019 duftet phänomenal vielschichtig nach Dörrpflaumen und gedörrten Aprikosen, dazu Noten von Vanille, Karamell und eine rauchige Würze vom Ausbau im Holz. Im Hintergrund feine Nuancen von Honig.Stephan Reinhardt schreibt im Wine Advocate zum Bouquet dieser genialen TBA von Kracher: „Eröffnet mit einem klaren und konzentrierten, edlen und fein toastigen Bouquet mit reifen und gedünsteten Pfirsichen und Quitten, mit erfrischendem Zitronensaft und sehr feinen Röstaromen.“Am Gaumen ist der kräftig goldgelbe Süßwein aus Österreich nahezu unfassbar aromatisch. Reinhardt versucht das Ganze mit diesen Worten zu umschreiben: „Am Gaumen ist dies eine reichhaltige und großzügige, aber sehr raffinierte und elegante TBA mit einem langen, intensiven und salzigen Abgang, der eine sehr feine Kumquat-Bitterkeit offenbart. Dies ist eine wunderschön ausgewogene TBA mit extremer Länge, sehr feinen Tanninen und Zedernholznoten.“Die Kracher Trockenbeerenauslese Grande Cuvée No. 5 Nouvelle Vague 2019 bietet eine perfekte Harmonie. Auch die abschließenden Urteile im Wine Advocate und von James Suckling darf man sich auf der Zunge zergehen lassen. Reinhardt: „Eine Schönheit mit großer Komplexität und immensem Alterungspotential.“Und Suckling schreibt zu dieser Trockenbeerenauslese von Kracher: „Eine fabelhaft konzentrierte und wunderbar ausgewogene TBA. Es ist, als würde man in einen Fjord aus tropischen Früchten (sowohl frische als auch getrocknete) eintauchen, wobei die lebendige Säure und die salzige Mineralität die Üppigkeit exakt ausgleichen.“Wow. Trinkreif bis 2060 schreibt der Wine Advocate über die Trockenbeerenauslese (in neuen Barriques vergoren und 28 Monate gelagert). Aber wer kann und will so lange warten? Bei 10 bis 12 Grad Trinktemperatur genießen. Fantastisch zur Kardinalschnitte (österreichische Küche: Streifen von luftiger Eischneemasse in Kombination mit Biskuit, Marillenmarmelade als Füllung) oder auch zur Gänseleberterrine mit Brioche.

Pfaffl Vom Haus Riesling 2025

From farm to winery. Pfaffl has developed rapidly since it was founded in 1978 and was even voted European Winery of the Year by Wine Enthusiast. The Pfaffl winery is at home in Austria's largest wine-growing region. Lower Austria stands for loess soils, warm days and cool nights. An excellent terroir for the Riesling grapes of Pfaffl Vom Haus Riesling.After the harvest, the grapes are destemmed and crushed. Before pressing, they are left on the skins for 2 hours. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 18°C in stainless steel tanks.In the glass, Pfaffl's Vom Haus Riesling is light yellow in color. The bouquet combines notes of mandarin, peach, apricot and pear. On the palate, the white wine is wonderfully fruity and fresh and dry. You can taste something salty and mineral in the aftertaste.Serve the wine at a drinking temperature of 10-12°C with a salad with feta.
