Cantina Tramin Pinot Grigio 2024

The grapes come from vineyards in Montagna, Tramin and Egna, planted in calcareous clay and pebble soils at altitudes ranging from 250 to 500 meters.The grapes for this wine were gently pressed off to steel tanks immediately after harvest. The must was allowed to ferment at controlled temperature (19 ° C) without malolactic fermentation.Tasting NotesPinot Grigio is part of the Burgundian Pinot family and is related to Pinot Bianco and the principal grape of Pinot family, Pinot Noir. In France this grape is called Pinot Gris and in Germany Ruländer. Pinot Grigio is a white wine with full, rich extract and is pale yellow in color. Its flavor is delicate and pleasantly soft with lasting notes of nuts and honey.Food PairingThis wine pairs well with dishes based on mushrooms, fish and seafood. Recommended as an aperitif.

Cantina Tramin Rungg Merlot-Cabernet 2023

The Merlot-Cabernet Sauvignon blend is complemented somewhat by the Cabernet Franc grape variety. The Cabernet Franc gives the red wine its light spiciness. The grapes for Cantina Tramin's Rungg all come from vineyards located to the south of the village of Tramin. The vines grow on hilly terrain at an altitude of around 300 meters. The soils have a gravelly subsoil, the soil above is clayey and calcareous. The terroir gives the wine from Italy a pleasant tannin structure and elegance. The wine is matured in barriques and larger wooden barrels to bring out the aromas.The color of the Rungg is garnet red. The dry wine has an intense aroma of cherry, redcurrant and dried fruit. Wonderfully round on the palate with chocolate aromas and light roasted flavors. The finish is long-lasting and powerful.Thanks to its full-bodied taste, the Cantina Tramin Rungg Merlot-Cabernet from South Tyrol is an excellent accompaniment to game dishes, roasts or well-matured cheese.

Cantina Tramin Troy Chardonnay Riserva 2021

Eine wirkliche Rarität von Cantina Tramin ist der Troy Chardonnay Riserva. Nur 3100 Flaschen wurden vinifiziert. Die Trauben stammen aus zwei Weinbergen in Söll bei der Ortschaft Tramin. Die Weinberge befinden sich auf einer Höhe von über 500 Metern über dem Meeresspiegel an exponierter Stelle nach Südosten hin ausgerichteten Hanglagen. Das Besondere an dieser Lage sind die extremen Temperaturunterschiede zwischen Tag und Nacht. Die Chardonnay Reben finden hier ideale Bedingungen, um bei wenig Ertrag eine hervorragende Qualität auszubilden. Der Boden ist geprägt von Lehm und Schotter, der stark mit Kalk versetzt ist. Die Trauben wurden von Hand gelesen und jede einzelne Beere sorgsam geprüft. Nach der Gärung und dem biologischen Säureabbau in Barrique wurde der Wein für 11 Monate auf den Feinhefen belassen. Im Anschluss fand eine fast zweijährige weitere Reifung in kleinen Edelstahltanks und eine viermonatige Flaschenlagerung statt.Der Troy Chardonnay Riserva von Tramin aus Italien besticht durch seine Tiefe und seine Vielfalt an Aromen. Seine besondere Saftigkeit und Eleganz machen diesen Wein zu etwas ganz Besonderem. Im Glas findet sich eine goldgelbe Farbe. Die Nase wird von blumigen und zitrusartigen Noten verwöhnt, die durch eine Vielzahl weiterer Düfte wie Kamille, Minze, tropischer Früchte und leichten Röstaromen ergänzt werden. Am Gaumen ist der trockene Weißwein mit großartiger Frische und intensiver Mineralik ausgestattet. Der Geschmack zeichnet sich durch eine Vielzahl an fruchtigen Aromen wie Banane, Mango und Galiamelone aus. Im Abgang wiederholt sich die mineralische Note nochmals und wird durch die unglaubliche Saftigkeit und Länge unterstützt.Nun noch eine kleine Erklärung zum Namen Troy. Früher wurde in Südtirol ein Pfad häufig als Troy bezeichnet. Die Kellerei hat sich für diesen Namen entschieden, um damit den zurückgelegten Entwicklungsweg zu diesem Chardonnay zu verdeutlichen.Wir empfehlen diesen herrlichen Chardonnay zu Schalentieren oder Fisch-Carpaccio. Geschmacklich intensive Nudelgerichte mit Trüffeln, Knödel mit Pilzen und starker Ziegenkäse passen ebenfalls gut zu diesem Spitzenwein.

This wine is named for the historical Unterebner farm and vineyard. The vines here rise to an altitude of approximately 450 meters, planted in calcareous soils made up of gravel and clay. Vines here are assured optimal ventilation thanks to the Ora, a wind that rises fromLake Garda in the early afternoon during the growing season.Winemaking: The grapes for this wine were softly pressed immediately after harvest, and the subsequent fermentation was done in wooden casks at controlled temperatures (18-20 ° C). Maturation occurred in large wooden casks (80%) and French barriques (20%).Tasting Notes: Unterebner is our best Pinot Grigio, and shows a deep straw color and a nose dominated by spicy aromas. On the palate, it balances mineral notes with considerable fatness richness. The vines for the Cantina Tramin Weissburgunder Pinot Bianco (Pinot Blanc) grow on calcareous, gravelly clay soils surrounding the village of Tramin and nestled against the mountains. The climate is consistently sunny and Mediterranean. At night, a cooling wind blows through the mountains. This interaction leads to a wonderfully fresh, fruity wine with an elegant structure.Both the special flavours and the fine acidity are reflected in a full body. The Pinot blanc is a slightly greenish yellow in the glass and is redolent of apples and nuts, complemented by notes of fresh green. On the palate, the wine is wonderfully dry and full-bodied, with an impressively sustained finish.The Cantina Tramin Weissburgunder (Pinot Blanc) is very popular as an aperitif.
