The Nik Weis Schiefer Riesling comes from vines that grow either on soils with Devonian slate, also known as black slate, in the Mosel region or on soils from the Saar with reddish slate. What’s true for classical music also applies to the Pfaffl Gemischter Satz Harmony: many high-quality elements unite to create a harmonious whole. Roman Josef Pfaffl succeeded in creating a spicy, light wine full of vividness, freshness and fruitiness, consisting mainly of the Riesling Pinot Blanc and Grüner Veltliner. The grapes for this wine were harvested by hand. The wine matured for 3 months in stainless steel tanks before it was bottled in Burgundy bottles with screwcaps.The Pfaffl Gemischter Satz Harmony also expresses the return to the distinctive character of such cuvées. The focus on pure varietal wines pushed these blends into the background for a long time, but they are now being increasingly rediscovered. The wines from the Weinviertel region, the biggest Austrian wine-growing area extending over approximately 44,479 acres, are often influenced by the Grüner Veltliner grape variety. In the “Veltliner region”, 50% of the wine-growing areas are cultivated with this grape variety so typical of Austria.The Pfaffl Gemischter Satz Harmony is a real pleasure on the palate and goes well with practically everything.

Pfaffl Vom Haus Riesling 2025

From farm to winery. Pfaffl has developed rapidly since it was founded in 1978 and was even voted European Winery of the Year by Wine Enthusiast. The Pfaffl winery is at home in Austria's largest wine-growing region. Lower Austria stands for loess soils, warm days and cool nights. An excellent terroir for the Riesling grapes of Pfaffl Vom Haus Riesling.After the harvest, the grapes are destemmed and crushed. Before pressing, they are left on the skins for 2 hours. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 18°C in stainless steel tanks.In the glass, Pfaffl's Vom Haus Riesling is light yellow in color. The bouquet combines notes of mandarin, peach, apricot and pear. On the palate, the white wine is wonderfully fruity and fresh and dry. You can taste something salty and mineral in the aftertaste.Serve the wine at a drinking temperature of 10-12°C with a salad with feta.

Der Pfaffl Wien.1 ist eine charaktervolle Weißwein-Cuvée des renommierten Weinguts R&A Pfaffl aus dem Weinviertel in Niederösterreich.Der typische Wiener Gemischte Satz gab den Impuls zu diesem Blend vom Weingut Pfaffl in Niederösterreich. Zwar sind die Weingärten heute reinsortig ausgepflanzt, damit der Lesezeitpunkt den Bedürfnissen der Sorten angepasst werden kann, die Idee, die Vorteile mehrerer Sorten in einem Weißwein zu vereinen, bleibt jedoch. Die ca. 21 Jahre alten Reben stammen von Wiener Lagen und bringen Wien pur ins Glas. Die Trauben wurden direkt im Weingarten selektiert. Echt wienerisch, fruchtig und erfrischend präsentiert sich diese trockene Cuvée aus fruchtigduftigem Riesling (60%) mit anregender Säure, fülligem Pinot Blanc und würzigem Veltliner (je 20%). Der Pfaffl Wien.1 ist ideal zur Wiener Küche und sehr erfrischend und reizvoll im Sommer! A blend of the Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grape varieties forms the basis of the VAUX cuvée from Schloss Vaux in Eltville. The German sparkling wine from the Rheingau region of Hesse is a visual highlight in itself. It shines in the glass in an elegant yellow with a green shimmer and a persistent perlage.The VAUX cuvée smells of citrus fruits and apricots, with nuances of melon. Fine floral notes round off the bouquet. On the palate, this high-quality sparkling wine is dry and at the same time wonderfully crisp, fresh and mineral. The Riesling in particular shows its qualities here. At the same time, a pleasantly soft mouthfeel, the "calling card" of the Burgundy.
