Gut Hermannsberg GG Traiser Bastei Riesling

This “Große Gewächs” (grand cru, literally “great growth”) from the Hermannsberg estate is a fascinating delight: it has a bouquet hinting of exotic fruit with green and yellow herbal notes and discreet nuances of honey. This wine is charming on the palate complemented by a finish with fine acidity - a Riesling wine of the highest quality. This is also due to the slopes on which the grapes for the Gut Hermannsberg GG Traiser Bastei Riesling are grown. The winery explains: “This is one of the most spectacular vineyards in the world. The Rotenfels encloses the little stage like an amphitheatre where only the Riesling puts in such an impressive performance. The crenellated formations above the vineyard gave it its name.” The massif with its huge heat reservoir looms over the vines. During the day, hot temperatures prevail, but at night it cools down drastically. This results in a spectacular wine from spectacular vineyards. The stony soils are the basis for elegant Riesling wines with a fine minerality and a distinctive fruitiness. Try this exceptional Riesling with special dishes such as baked beetroot with hot-smoked salmon and grilled lobster on saffron mussel risotto. It is also an excellent accompaniment to fillet of veal, asparagus, mango and thyme jus.

Gut Hermannsberg

Hensel Aufwind Riesling Rittergarten
Rittergarten is a vineyard located in Bad Dürkheim, Germany. Amongst others, the grapes for the Hensel Aufwind Riesling Rittergarten grow here. The soils consist mainly of deep clay, which stores moisture particularly well, giving the wines an excellent fruitiness and complex minerality. The Hensel Aufwind Riesling Rittergarten was aged in stainless steel tanks and offers notes of fine herbs and exotic fruit on the nose. On the palate, the wine is wonderfully complex and juicy. The off-dry interaction between acidity and sweetness leads to a prolonged finish. The versatile Aufwind Riesling Rittergarten is lovely to enjoy on its own and also goes beautifully with light dishes.

Stag’s Leap Artemis Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Winemaker Nicki Pruss wisely and thoughtfully selects the best grapes from the various Napa Valley vineyards and skillfully blends them with grapes from his own Fay vineyard in the Stag's Leap District to create this unique Cabernet Sauvignon blend: with the depth, structure and elegance of the winery's limited single-vineyard wines and at the same time characterized by the individual character of each Napa Valley vineyard, which enriches Artemis with so many, often the smallest facets. The grapes are fermented separately and the wines are then blended into the Artemis Final Blend. The Stag's Leap Artemis Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Artemis matures for 18 months in French oak barrels (55% new), is then bottled and aged for a further six months in the bottle before finally being released for sale.In the glass, Artemis is a deep, dense plum red with ruby highlights. The American red wine enchants with a classic Cabernet bouquet of juicy ripe blackcurrants, blackberries and black cherries, underlaid with earthy notes of moss and forest floor, leather, cedar, herbs (rosemary), licorice, mocha, vanilla and caramel. On the palate, the wine is powerful, intense and firmly structured, yet with the classic elegance of Stag's Leap. The individual and expressive Cabernet Sauvignon has a medium body and is long and harmoniously balanced on the finish, with a spicy aftertaste of blackcurrants, black tea leaves, mocha and licorice.Artemis, the Greek goddess of the hunt, lent her name to the Artemis Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon: the quintessence of selected grapes, sites and plots in the Napa Valley.
