The Delheim Iconoclast Versed Vines is an exceptional white cuvée made from Delheim's oldest vineyard blocks in the Simonsberg, Stellenbosch. This Old Vine blend combines Riesling, Chenin Blanc, Muscat de Frontignan, Sauvignon Blanc and Colombar, whose vines were planted between 1984 and 1988 and, as part of the Certified Old Vine Project (OVP), have special expressiveness and terroir character.The vineyards are located on southwest-facing slopes with Oakleaf soils of decomposed granite. The cool climate of the Simonsberg, influenced by Atlantic breezes, ensures slow, even ripening and intense aromas.The grapes were hand-picked in the early hours of the morning and pressed whole to ensure maximum purity. Natural fermentation took place in French oak barrels (15% new wood), after which the wine matured for nine months on the fine lees, giving it depth, texture and complexity. The final cuvée was produced in a small, experimental batch that brings out the potential of old vines and terroir to the full.In the glass, the Delheim Iconoclast Versed Vines shows aromas of white peach and ripe pear, complemented by the delicate, floral Muscat perfume. On the palate, freshness is combined with elegance and a long, harmonious finish on a fresh citrus note.This white wine is ideal with meaty fish or subtly spiced dishes with chicken or pork. Serve at 8-10 °C to enjoy the fine fruit and elegant structure to the full.Only five barrels were produced - an exclusive wine for collectors and connoisseurs. Most of its predecessors, including the 2012 vintage, were Late Harvest wines made from 100% Chenin blanc grapes. Now it is a blend of Muscat d 'Frontignan, Weißer Riesling and Chenin Blanc. Vineshop24 is pleased to offer this exclusive product.The wine has a pale straw yellow color. On the nose it offers aromas of orange blossom, apricot and citrus notes. On the palate, notes of ripe summer fruits and orange unfold. 9 months the wine was aged in oak barrels. Therefore a fine flavor and velvety tannins characterize the Spatzendreck.Try a very special creation of South African viticultural arts that originates from vines that are older than 25 years.

Österreichweit liegt der Riesling-Anteil unter den Rebsorten bei etwas über 3% - bei der Domäne Wachau bei fast 20%. Riesling aus der Wachau überzeugt durch seine Klarheit, Aromatiefe und vor allem durch außerordentliche Eleganz und Finesse bei toller Substanz.Qualitätskategorie Federspiel spiegelt das klassische österreichische Weißweinprofil wider. Es verbindet die Frische einer Steinfeder mit der Kraft und Komplexität eines Smaragdes. Federspiel-Weine werden bei maximal 12,5% Alkohol geerntet.VinifizierungDie auf größtenteils steilen Steinterrassen kultivierten Reben werden bei einem Ertrag von ca. 6.000 kg/ha geerntet. Trauben für Riesling Federspiel Terrassen wurden Anfang bis Mitte Oktober geerntet. Nach der Gärung in Edelstahltanks bei kühlen Temperaturen bis max. 18°C wurde der Wein im Stahltank ausgebaut.

Der 1000-Eimerberg ist das eindrucksvollste Wahrzeichen des österreichischen Ortes Spitz. Rund 1000 Eimer (1 Eimer = ca.56 Liter) Wein sollen von diesem Berhang einst geerntet worden sein. Hier wachsen die Riesling Reben des Gritsch Riesling Federspiel 1000 Eimerberg. Für das Weingut Gritsch bedeutet die steile Hangneigung (bis zu 70%) des 1000 Eimerberges, dass nur eine Ernte von Hand möglich ist. Nach der Ernte folgen eine schonende Pressung und Verarbeitung der Trauben. Die Gärung findet temperaturkontrolliert in Stahltanks statt, woraufhin der Ausbau auf der Feinhefe folgt.Hervorgebracht wird ein lebhafter Weißwein mit heller Frucht und einer knackigen Säure. Anklänge von Zitrusfrüchten, ein geradliniger und filigraner Charakter und die schiefrige Mineralität sind typische Merkmale für diesen Riesling. Das Bouquet bietet dezente Anklänge von Marillen und Limonen. Am Gaumen präsentieren sich etwas Pfirsich und Zitruszesten.
