Zenato Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG 2019

This wine shows an excellent fullness, majestic aromas and an outstanding balance among all components, giving it ideal potential for prolonged ageing. The Zenato Amarone della Valpolicella Classico is a sensational masterpiece of taste and fragrance. The Amarone has an impressive elegance, ripe fruit and an inviting bouquet. It is ruby-red in colour and shows fine hints of aromatic herbs. On the palate, the wine is impressively powerful, with warm, rich nuances of wild cherry and chocolate. The Amarone is a little jewel in the range of Zenato wines. It is made of the excellent Corvina, Rondinella, Oseleta and Croatina grapes, which come from the Valpolicella Classico region from the municipalities of Sant'Ambrogio, Negrar, Pedemonte, Fumane, San Pietro in Cariano and Marano. The grapes are harvested and picked by hand and subsequently dried for a period of three months. As a consequence, much of the liquid evaporates, resulting in berries that are extremely rich in sugar. After fermentation, the wine matured for 30 months in oak casks and for a further 12 months in the bottle.

This pink wine from the Veneto region is a blend of the Corvina Veronese, Rondinella and Molinara grape varieties.The vines for Zenato Bardolino Chiaretto Rosé grow on Lake Garda in the Veneto region. It owes its name to the town of Bardolino, which lies on the eastern shore of the lake and enjoys an excellent reputation as a wine-growing region. The Zenato winery uses Corvina Veronese, Rondinella and Molinara grapes for this Italian cuvée.This dry rosé impresses with its delicate pink color and fresh, fruity bouquet. Its fragrance combines aromas of strawberries, cherries, raspberries, lychees and rhubarb with a hint of rosehip. A fine fruit acidity is noticeable on the palate. Thanks to this harmony of freshness and fruitiness, this rosé wine is the perfect summer wine.This rosé wine from Italy is particularly enjoyable at a drinking temperature of 10 to 12 °C. It is wonderful as an aperitif and as an accompaniment to light dishes. It harmonizes with tuna, seafood and salads. In brillantem Rubinrot erstrahlt der Zenato Bardolino Rosso DOC im Glas, während eine blumig-fruchtige Note den Geruchssinn umschmeichelt. Zenato gives the name “Ripassa” to this wine, which shares many of the characteristics of our Amarone.As soon as the fermentation is completed of the dried grapes for the Amarone, selected lots of Valpolicella are then “re-passed” on the Amarone pomace, thus initiating a second fermentation which increases slightly the alcoholic content and gives the wine deeper colour, increased extract, and more complex aromas.After six months’ bottle-ageing, the result is a rounded, velvet-textured wine with rich, complex aromas of berries and an impressively lengthy finish that seems to linger forever.Ripassa represents one of the most important milestones in Zenato’s winemaking evolution.
