Given these factors of cult and glamour, the question naturally arises as to whether it's merely the name that sells here, or do connoisseurs also expect the result of true winemaking art in their glasses? International wine gurus have long since answered this question: The Miraval Rosé Côtes de Provence is a top wine that impresses critics year after year, breaking the magic 90-point barrier over again and again as well.The high-quality rosé from Provence is virtually a synonym for carefree, lighthearted pleasure. On the nose, it is wonderfully fresh and complex, recalling raspberries, red cherries, currants, strawberries and pink grapefruit, complemented by notes of rose water and fresh herbes de Provence. A hint of lemon rounds off the bouquet.On the palate, the Brangelina rosé, if you will, is fascinatingly lively and elegant, with a lovely full body. Well rounded and supple, the fruitiness of this French rosé has just the right balance, with aromas of strawberries and raspberries as well as a subtle hint of fresh citrus in tasteful harmony with restrained notes of salt and minerals. The finish of the Miraval Rosé Côtes de Provence is long, characterised by by notes of citrus.According to Roger Voss, writing in the Wine Enthusiast, “There is an attractive richness to this wine produced by the Perrin family of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The wine is full of ripe red berries mingling with spice and citrus. With a fresh, crisp and textured aftertaste, it is ready to drink.” He awarded Brad Pitt’s rosé 91 points.Up to 95% of this creation, consisting of Cinsault, Grenache, Rolle and Syrah (Shiraz), was aged in steel tanks. A small portion of this rosé from the Provence matured in wooden casks, giving this glamorous wine a fuller body and its extraordinary silkiness.Seemingly endless expanses of lavender fields, the glittering sea on the Côte d'Azur, picturesque mountain villages and stylish, stately châteaux: all this is associated with Provence. This exceptional blend of Shiraz, Mourvedre, Grenache Noir and Cinsault maturated in oak barrels. Perdeberg The Dryland Collection Joseph’s Legacy is a tribute to Perdeberg’s legendary winemaker, Joseph Huskisson, who was a visionary in his time at Perdeberg from 1956 to 1994. Only the best barrels from the 2019 vintage were selected for this magnificent blend.Black pepper, cedar, cherry, red berries and vanilla notes are all prominent on the nose. The palate is structured and bold with layered tones of cloves, spice, coriander and chocolate icing. Over time complexity will increase and aromas are expected to become spicier, leathery with hints of cigar smoke. The Stellenrust Stell Pinotage Shiraz from the Western Cape combines the fruity cherry notes and gentle spiciness of Pinotage grapes with the dark fruit and density of Shiraz grapes, refined with a small amount of Cinsault for added elegance. After a short cold maceration, the grapes mature on their skins for a few days before the red wine acquires its harmonious fullness and fine spiciness in used French oak.The nose reveals lively raspberry aromas with a hint of black pepper, while the red wine is soft, round and accessible on the palate, with elegant tannins and a long, velvety finish.The Stellenrust Stell Pinotage Shiraz is ideal with medium to full-bodied dishes such as grilled lamb, wild boar goulash or roasted mushrooms - served at 16-18 °C, it develops its full fruitiness and aromatic depth.

Der Stellenzicht Silcrete Cinsault ist ein erlesener südafrikanischer Rotwein aus der renommierten Stellenbosch-Region. Silcrete ist ein lithologischer Begriff für ein stark verfestigtes Gestein, das hauptsächlich aus vererbten Quarzkörnern besteht. Diese felsigen Böden sind ideal für den Anbau von Cinsault. Die Trauben stammen von fast 30 Jahre alten Trockenland-Buschreben und ergeben einen duftenden Wein mit intensiven Fruchtaromen und Spitzentanninen.Der Stellenzicht Silcrete Cinsault zeigt eine leuchtende rubinrote Farbe im Glas. In der Nase entfaltet er eine verführerische Aromenpalette von roten Beeren wie Erdbeeren, Himbeeren und Kirschen. Diese fruchtigen Noten werden von erdigen Noten und einem Hauch von Gewürzen begleitet, die dem Wein zusätzliche Komplexität verleihen.Am Gaumen präsentiert sich der Stellenzicht Silcrete Cinsault leicht und lebhaft. Der Stellenzicht Thunderstone Red ist ein südafrikanischer Blend aus den Rebsorten Cinsault, Syrah und Cabernet Sauvignon. Die Trauben werden einzeln vergoren und nach einer 18-monatigen Reife in französischen Eichenfässern gemischt und abgefüllt. Es entsteht ein Rotwein mit zartem Duft und komplexen Aromen, die in der Nase vornehmlich Aromen roten Beerenfrüchten, Kirschen und herzhaften Gewürzen zeigen. Der Thunderstone Red von Stellenzicht hat am Gaumen eine mittelkräftige Struktur mit überzeugender voller Frische und saftiger roter Frucht. Die Tannine sind reif, aber dennoch straff und wunderbar eingebunden. Das anfangs überschwängliche und energische Mundgefühl geht über in einen weichen Abgang mit Noten von süßen Gewürzen.Probieren Sie den Stellenzicht Thunderstone Red zu einem T-Bone Steak, einer Rinderroulade oder mittlerem Käse. Der Wein kann aufgrund seiner Sanftheit auch sehr gut solo genossen werden.

The Usseglio Raymond & Fils Châteauneuf-du-Pape combines power, elegance and terroir in an exceptional red wine. The Usseglio Raymond & Fils winery works organically and biodynamically and attaches great importance to preserving the soil and promoting biodiversity.The grapes come from vines around 50 years old on the four classic terroirs of the appellation: sand, sandstone/clay, limestone and the characteristic round pebbles. The grapes are harvested manually at optimum ripeness and are carefully hand-picked.The cuvée consists of Grenache Noir, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault and Counoise. 80% of the wine is matured in traditional concrete tanks, 20% in old oak barrels, which gives it a fine structure and elegance.Intense aromas of cherries, raspberries, black pepper and licorice unfold on the nose, accompanied by subtle garrigue notes. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with a silky texture, harmonious tannins and a long, elegant finish.The Usseglio Raymond & Fils Châteauneuf-du-Pape is an excellent accompaniment to lamb, roast beef or hearty stews and also goes wonderfully well with mature cheeses. Serve at 16-18 °C to allow the complex aromas and velvety structure of the wine to develop to their full potential.

Warwick Professor Black Pitch Black 2023

With Professor Black Pitch Black, the South African winery Warwick combines the well-known Bordeaux grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Malbec with the Cinsault variety, which is very common in South Africa. This combination may seem unusual at first, but it brings a very special red wine to the glass.The Cinsault gives this wine a penetrating freshness and liveliness. The Warwick Professor Black Pitch Black has a seductive aroma of wild strawberries, violets, dark berries and herbs. On the palate, there are expressive earthy aromas and various spicy notes. A wine with plenty of extract and depth from 18 months of ageing in French oak barrels. It impresses with fruity notes of plum and blackberry. Whispering Angel Rose 2025

Grenache, Rolle (Vermentino), Cinsault and Syrah come together in the Château d'Esclans Whispering Angel. This seductive rosé from the Côtes de Provence offers wonderful notes of strawberry, lemon, cherry and jasmine. On the palate, with nice minerality and elegance.Hard to believe, but this is an entry level wine of the Château. To provide all the freshness and the wonderful fruitiness, this rosé was not aged in oak barrels.Enjoy the Château d'Esclans Whispering Angel with pies, grilled fish or meats and seafood in a creamy sauce.
