MONTES ALPHA"M" is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. A powerful wine with very good level of soft and rounded tannins. Intense dark red colour. The wine is elegant and has a very well defined character. The 5% of Petit Verdot is adding an extra element of complexity. There is an pleasant and harmonious marriage of fruit and the French oak. The structure of this wine will keep it for at least 20 years. On the palate, it is perfectly balanced, full-bodied and superbly voluptuous on the mid-palate with a rewarding, lingering after taste of mature grapes and acidity that reflects its superb structure.MONTES ALPHA "M" can be enjoyed now or cellared for several years (it will continue to improve in the bottle for at least 20 years).

Montes Alpha Malbec 2022

The Montes Alpha Malbec comes from the vineyards of Apalta and Marchigüe in the Colchagua Valley, Chile. The granite soils with varying degrees of water retention capacity and the combination of fluvial and alluvial material give the wine balance and depth. Grapes from both regions are used equally for the Montes Alpha Malbec.The grapes are harvested by hand, carefully selected and destemmed. After maceration, controlled fermentation with selected yeasts takes place over 7-10 days. The wine then undergoes malolactic fermentation and matures for 12 months in French oak barrels (50% new) before the final blending.Deep carmine red with violet reflections. The nose reveals ripe fruit such as raspberries, blueberries, dried plums and black cherries, complemented by subtle notes of leather, smoke, vanilla and toasted wood. Velvety and balanced on the palate with a long, harmonious finish.The Montes Alpha Malbec is an excellent accompaniment to red and white meat, especially grilled pork or chicken with barbecue sauce, but also to stew, chili con carne or Mexican mole. Serving temperature: 17-19 °C. It is recommended to decant it approx. 30 minutes before serving so that it can develop its aromas optimally.

Montes Alpha Special Cuvée Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

The Montes Alpha Special Cuvée Cabernet Sauvignon from the Colchagua Valley is a characterful red wine of international stature. It is produced on the Marchigüe estate, where the Cabernet Sauvignon vines thrive on stony, clayey soils with optimal water retention. The cuvée is complemented by small proportions of Syrah and Carmenère, which grow on the slopes and lend the wine additional depth and elegance.The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand and carefully selected. After gentle destemming, fermentation takes place over 7 to 10 days before malolactic fermentation is carried out in concrete and stainless steel tanks. The wine then matures for 16 months in French oak, 60% of which is new wood - an ageing process that lends structure and complexity without masking the fruit.In the glass, the Montes Alpha Special Cuvée Cabernet Sauvignon is a deep ruby red. On the nose, it develops an intense aroma of ripe plums, dark cherries and dried figs, complemented by spicy notes of black pepper, graphite, dark chocolate, leather and a hint of mocha. It impresses on the palate with great volume, a powerful structure and a harmonious balance of fruit, spice and wood. The long, elegant finish rounds off the experience.The Montes Alpha Special Cuvée Cabernet Sauvignon is an excellent accompaniment to hearty meat dishes such as beef steaks, lamb chops with Cabernet jus, game dishes or pasta with spicy Bolognese. The Montes Alpha Syrah from the Vina Montes winery comes from Chile, from the Colchagua Valley region to be precise. This wine is particularly balanced and smooth.The dry red wine presents itself in an elegant red color with black-purple reflections. Seña is an icon of viticulture in South America. The Chilean red wine has fascinated international wine critics for many years. In Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, Luis Gutiérrez has never awarded the Seña less than 96 points since 2015. James Suckling even awarded 100 points in 2015 and 2018 for the noble red wine, which has been backed by Eduardo Chadwick and Robert Mondavi, two greats of the wine world, since 1995. The 2020 Seña vintage is also outstanding. The creation from the Aconcagua Valley was awarded 97 points by Gutiérrez and 98 by Suckling.The bouquet of the blend of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Malbec, 15% Carmenere and 7% Petit Verdot is impressively complex. Notes of raspberries and cherries form the intensely fruity basis. They create a stimulating interplay with balsamic notes of cedar and tobacco as well as nuances of dill and rosemary, explains Francisco Baettig, the technical director of Seña.The wine "is subtle and multi-layered, not just fruit, but with more spice," Gutiérrez says of the 2020 vintage. Suckling's verdict: "Complex, with a spicy character, the nose shows tobacco, salty plums, olives, black cherries, cassis and a hint of white pepper, followed by a fine, spicy, balsamic accent."On the palate, the deep garnet-red Chilean blend is dry, dense and powerful, with masterfully integrated, polished tannins. The Seña 2020 has "very fine-grained tannins, plus freshness, acidity and tension. Very balanced in a rather warm vintage," says Baettig.Gutiérrez also writes of polished tannins and very well-integrated wood maturation after 22 months in barriques. According to the Spaniard, 78% new wood was used and 10% of the wine was aged in large Stockinger barrels, i.e. barrels from the world-renowned barrel maker from Austria.Seña's vineyards in the Aconcagua Valley, along the Aconcagua River, which flows from the Andes into the Pacific, offer the perfect terroir for perfect wines. Located on the eastern side of the coastal mountains, and thus shielded from the direct influence of the ocean, the growing area also benefits from a Mediterranean climate and the cooling effect of the world's oceans. Seña 2021 is an iconic red wine from Chile, more precisely from the Aconcagua Valley, around 100 kilometers north of Santiago. This valley offers ideal conditions for viticulture due to its location and climate. Seña is a joint project between the famous Chilean winemaker Eduardo Chadwick and the Mondavi family from California, which was launched in 1995. The aim was to create a wine that is on a par with top international wines in terms of quality and expressiveness, but with a clear Chilean identity.The wine comes from biodynamically cultivated vineyards that thrive on stony, mineral-rich soils. These soils, combined with the high altitude and cool Pacific breezes, allow the grapes to ripen slowly, resulting in a perfect balance between fruit, acidity and tannin.The Seña 2021 is a masterful cuvée, dominated by 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 27% Malbec, 17% Carménère and 6% Petit Verdot.
