Der Cielo e Terra Amaregis Amarone Riserva della Valpolicella DOCG ist ein intensiver und angenehmer Wein mit reichlich Noten von schwarzen Früchten und Brombeeren, gefolgt von einem Duft nach Balsamico und Gewürzen. Corvina und Rondinella Trauben wurden in diesem herrlichen Rotwein vermählt, der in Valpolicella vom italienischen Weingut Cielo e Terra erschaffen wurde.

Die Trauben werden selektiv geerntet und dann in kleinen Kisten 3 bis 4 Monate lang zum Trocknen gelagert. Dies geschieht in einer Umgebung, in der der Wind seine Arbeit tun kann, um Schimmel zu vermeiden. Sobald die Trauben ausreichend getrocknet sind, werden sie gepresst, verarbeitet und in Edelstahltanks gelagert. Schließlich reift der Wein vier Jahre lang in großen Eichenfässern.

Once a neglected Old Vine Garden in Lyndoch, The Fifth Wave vineyard was rejuvenated by Langmeil and in 1999 winemaker Paul Lindner saw the potential of the Grenache from this unique vineyard and with tenacity convinced the owners to produce a straight varietal, in all likelihood the first time Grenache from this time honoured Old Vine Garden had been truly prized. The 100% Grenache Langmeil Fifth Wave Grenache is based on 42+ and 90 year old vines. The wine matured for 21 month in 17% seasoned French oak and 83% seasoned American oak. On the nose aromas of dark cherry and raspberry fruits mingle with sweet spice, vanilla, hints of savoury roastiness and white pepper nuances. Ripe, red berry fruit flows onto the palate, melding into lovely sweet and briary spice. The finish lingers on a pepper and spice note with typical chalky and youthfully firm tannins.Enjoy this wine together with pasta, pork, stew or different kinds of cheese.

The Cesari Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOC is redolent of dried cherries and raspberries, along with lovely notes of plums, herbs and nuances of toast and vanilla as well. This speciality from the Valpolicella region is full-bodied, warm and well-balanced on the palate, with a prolonged finish and noticeable, harmoniously integrated tannins. This blend, consisting mainly of Corvina and smaller percentages of Rondinella and Molinara, matured for a total of three years in French and Slavic oak casks. The wines produced by Gerardo Cesari are regularly awarded significantly more than 90 points by Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate. Especially where the Amarone wine is concerned, the Cesari estate, whose history dates back to 1936, is one of the most renowned wineries in Italy. This wine shows an excellent fullness, majestic aromas and an outstanding balance among all components, giving it ideal potential for prolonged ageing. The Zenato Amarone della Valpolicella Classico is a sensational masterpiece of taste and fragrance. The Amarone has an impressive elegance, ripe fruit and an inviting bouquet. It is ruby-red in colour and shows fine hints of aromatic herbs. On the palate, the wine is impressively powerful, with warm, rich nuances of wild cherry and chocolate. The Amarone is a little jewel in the range of Zenato wines. It is made of the excellent Corvina, Rondinella, Oseleta and Croatina grapes, which come from the Valpolicella Classico region from the municipalities of Sant'Ambrogio, Negrar, Pedemonte, Fumane, San Pietro in Cariano and Marano. The grapes are harvested and picked by hand and subsequently dried for a period of three months. As a consequence, much of the liquid evaporates, resulting in berries that are extremely rich in sugar. After fermentation, the wine matured for 30 months in oak casks and for a further 12 months in the bottle.
