Thelema The Abbey

The wine displays an intense ruby red colour in the glass. The bouquet is reminiscence of cherries, blackcurrants and has tones of dark chocolate. The pallet is full bodied with firm but silky tannins. Decanting is recommended to express the true essence of this Bordeaux blend. Allesverloren Cabernet Sauvignon
A Cabernet Sauvignon from South Africa that impresses in every respect: the bouquet and palate of the 2018 Allesverloren Cabernet Sauvignon are a real delight, more than deserving of 4 out of 5 stars in John Platter's Wine Guide. Warwick Professor Black Pitch Black
The Professor Black Pitch Black produced by the South African Warwick winery unites the famous Bordeaux grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Malbec with the Cinsault grape variety that is very common in South Africa. This combination might seem unusual, but it creates a very special red wine. The Cinsault grapes give this wine a pungent freshness and vividness. The Warwick Professor Black Pitch Black has an enticing bouquet hinting of currants, paprika, vanilla and fresh cedar. On the palate, it offers expressive earthy aromas and notes of various spices. Due to the 18 months of ageing in French oak casks, the wine shows lots of extract and depth. Its fruity aromas of plums and raspberries are impressive, while the finish is extremely concentrated and long-lasting. The Professor Black Pitch Black can already be enjoyed now if you give it some time to breathe before you drink it. However, it will be a real delight over the next ten years as well. The wine is an excellent accompaniment to a classic pork roast, roast leg of lamb or a juicy steak.
