The Raka Sauvignon Blanc captivates with its fresh fruit, lively acidity, and crisp aromas—a full-of-character white wine from the Western Cape in South Africa that brings pure joie de vivre to the glass. Made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc, it delights with its tropical-style nose, a round mouthfeel, and an invigorating finish. Ideal for warm days, fresh dishes, or as a standout on the patio.
The nose alone whets your appetite for more: peach, passion fruit, guava, and gooseberries define the aromatic bouquet. On the palate, the wine is fruity and full-bodied, with a subtle hint of citrus and a refreshing, clean finish that lingers wonderfully long.
The grapes for this wine were carefully hand-harvested, sorted, and placed directly into the press, where they rested on their skins for 8 hours to optimally extract their characteristic aromas. After pressing, the must was fermented at a controlled temperature of 16°C using pure yeast cultures to preserve freshness and fruitiness. Extended aging on the fine lees gives the wine additional body. It was then naturally clarified by gravity before being gently filtered and bottled.
The Raka Sauvignon Blanc is the ideal accompaniment to seafood, sushi, light fish dishes, or cold cuts. It also pairs excellently with summer salads or simply as an aperitif.
