The Rainbows End Syrah comes from the family winery of the same name in the picturesque Banghoek Valley in Stellenbosch and embodies the powerful yet elegant style of South African Syrah wines. The winery is known for its authentic, handcrafted red wines with character - and this is reflected in this Syrah.

In the glass, the wine is an intense purple red, which already indicates its depth and concentration. Aromatic notes of rosemary, thyme and lavender unfold on the nose, accompanied by a hint of leather - an exciting, spicy and herbal aroma that leaves you wanting more. On the palate, the Rainbows End Syrah delights with ripe black plums, juicy blueberries and powerfully structured, yet supple tannins. The finish is long and juicy, with a pleasantly spicy aftertaste.

The Syrah (Shiraz) - a blend of Argentinian clone 9 and French clones 174 and 99 - is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. The barrel ageing is divided into 35% new wood, 25% second fill, 25% third fill and 15% French oak barrels. During maturation, the wine was racked twice to promote clarity and structure. The Syrah () was bottled unfiltered and without fining, which emphasizes its natural depth and expressiveness. Fine sediment can therefore form in the bottle over time - a sign of quality craftsmanship.

Rainbows End Syrah is an excellent accompaniment to rack of lamb with a herb crust, spicy braised beef dishes or Mediterranean cuisine with rosemary and thyme. Matured hard cheese is also an ideal accompaniment to this wine.
The recommended drinking temperature is 16-18°C.
