Haute Cabriere Pierre Jourdan Tranquille

The Haute Cabrière Pierre Jourdan Tranquille is an exceptional wine from Franschhoek, South Africa, which looks like a rosé at first glance, but deliberately sets itself apart from the classic category. The cuvée of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay, inspired by a French champagne, has a delicate salmon hue and elegantly combines fruit and freshness.

The glass reveals a subtle aroma of red berries, citrus fruits and a hint of exotic fruit, underpinned by fine minerality. On the palate, the wine is light, dry and wonderfully balanced, with a fresh, clear finish.

Although it is reminiscent of a rosé in terms of color and style, Tranquille is not a classic rosé wine, but rather a still vinified Blanc de Noirs with a Chardonnay component, which combines the finesse of white grape varieties with the structure of Pinot Noir. This makes it an exciting, versatile companion - whether as an aperitif, with light summer dishes or simply on its own on a relaxed evening.

Product recommendation

Oude Kaap Rosé
Due to the increased demand for rosé wines, the decision was made to produce Oude Kaap Rosé. The dry wine from South Africa is made from Pinotage grapes. The wine has a light pink color due to the very brief contact of the juice with the skin of the berries. The rosé is a dry, but not off-dry wine. The fruit, especially strawberry and raspberry, remains in the soft finish.A wonderfully fresh and soft wine that is a great terrace wine in summer. In winter, we recommend the Oude Kaap Rosé as a base wine for making rosé mulled wine.

Wonderful floral notes and aromas of red berries such as strawberries, raspberries and cherries - so characteristic of Pinotage - await the connoisseur. Almost perfect conditions during the ripening phase of the grapes characterized a great vintage.Enjoy Kanonkop Kadette Rosé from South Africa with grilled salmon, tuna, sushi or light, aromatic curries, for example.
