The Muros Antigos Escolha, DOC Vinho Verde from the north-west of Portugal is a cuvée made from the Alvarinho, Loureiro and Avesso grape varieties. The individual grape varieties have very different strengths, which they play off together. Alvarinho gives the wine structure, strength and body. Loureiro adds intense aroma and finesse, while Avesso contributes acidity and minerality.The grapes for the Escolha DOC Vinho Verde were gently pressed after destemming. This was followed by very cold must clarification and fermentation at a temperature of 12 to 16 degrees Celsius. Maturation was achieved by leaving the wine on the lees for 4 months. The wine smells of flowers and lots of green fruit. The taste is crisp, fresh and very fruity. The mouthfeel is characterized by good balance and structure. Der Muros Antigos Loureiro stammt aus dem Lima-Tal. Der gleichnamige Fluss Lima durchzieht das Tal und mündet schließlich in den Atlantik. Dieses Mikroklima verleiht dem trockenen Weißwein vom Weingut Anselmo Mendes seine besondere Aromatik. Anselmo Mendes besitzt 65 ha Rebflächen in diesem vom atlantischen Klima geprägten Tal. Die weiße Sorte Loureiro bringt hier großartige Frische und Struktur mit. Diese Frische und Spritzigkeit gepaart mit einem geringen Alkoholgehalt ergeben einen Weintyp der die Anbauregion in Portugal widerspiegelt. Die Trauben wurden bei der Verarbeitung einer kurzen Mazeration auf den Schalen unterzogen. Danach presste man die ganzen, von den Stielen entfernten, Trauben sanft. Im Anschluss fand eine kalte Klärung für 2 Tage statt. Nach einer längeren Gärung bei Temperaturen zwischen 12 und 16 Grad Celsius lagerte der Wein für 4 Monate auf der Feinhefe.Deutliche florale Noten und intensive Zitrusnoten verwöhnen die Nase. Am Gaumen ist der Muros Antigos Loureiro frisch, trocken und vielschichtig fruchtig. Der starke Charakter der Rebsorte findet auch im Abgang mit Blumennoten ein großartiges Finale.Schöner Begleiter für heiße Tage auf der Terrasse. Perfekt auch als Ergänzung beim Genuss von Schalentieren.

The dry wine from South Africa is made from Pinotage grapes.The wine has a light pink color due to the very brief contact of the juice with the skin of the berries. The rosé is a dry, but not off-dry wine. The fruit, especially strawberry and raspberry, remains in the soft finish.A wonderfully fresh and soft wine that is a great terrace wine in summer. In winter, we recommend the Oude Kaap Rosé as a base wine for making rosé mulled wine.
