Für den Il Poggione Brunello di Montalcino DOCG wird die Sangiovese-Traube nur von den allerbesten Weinbergen der Toskana rund um Montalcino geerntet. Der Wein reift drei Jahre in Eichenholzfässern, anschließend noch ein Jahr in der Flasche. So entsteht eine körperreiche Spezialität mit langer Lagerfähigkeit und einem ausgefeilten Aromenspiel.

Schon der Duft überzeugt mit einem intensiven Aroma roter Früchte und feinen Würznoten, die der Fassreifung entspringen. Am Gaumen entfaltet der Brunello ein fast warmes Gefühl, das von einem runden Körper, weichen Tanninen und den typischen Fruchtnuancen bestimmt ist.

Reifer Käse, würzige Wildgerichte und rotes Fleisch zeigen zu diesem tiefen Tropfen die nötige kulinarische Stärke. Dieser Wein aus Italien sollte dekantiert mindestens eine Stunde atmen und bei 18 °C serviert werden.

Das brandneue, moderne Weingut von Tentuta il Poggione wurde vor drei Jahren auf der Spitze eines Hügels in Montalcino mit einer prächtigen Aussicht über das Tal erbaut.

Es ist deshalb auch nicht verwunderlich woher der Name il Poggiona stammt. Er wurde vom italienischen Wort il Poggio, welches der Hügel bedeutet, abgeleitet.

Tenuta il Poggione besitzt 600 Hektar. Davon bestehen 120 Hektar aus Weinbergen auf südlich gelegenen Hängen in einer Höhe von 200-400 Metern. Die Weingärten sind verteilt in 80% Sangiovese und 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc und Merlot. Mehr als die Hälfte der Weingärten wird für die Produktion von Brunello verwendet.

Laut Hugh Johnsen ist es „das vielleicht beständigste Weingut für Brunello und Rosso di Montalcino“. Der Wein besteht aus der Rebsorte Sangiovese, Merlot und Cabernet Sauvignon.  Durch diese Mischung überzeugt der Wein aus Italien als echter Allrounder mit angenehm weichem Geschmack. Neben den erwähnten Fleischspeisen passt der Poggione Rosso auch ausgesprochen gut zu Vorspeisen wie Käsehäppchen oder getrocknetem Schinken. Ideal kommt er zur Geltung, wenn Sie ihn bei 16 bis 18 °C servieren.

The grape composition for the red wine Le Volte dell Ornellaia Rosso Toscana IGT comes from the slopes of the Tenuta dell' Ornellaia vineyard in Tuscany. The full-bodied red wine is made from the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot grape varieties and impresses at first glance with its deep, dark purple-red color.After careful decanting, the bouquet opens up with finely spiced nuances of mulberries, cherries and cocoa beans. Lenotti Massimo Veneto Rosso IGT
The Lenotti Massimo is produced in a limited edition, for which oenologist Giancarlo Massimo Lenotti guarantees a meticulous selection. The Corvina and Sangiovese grape varieties as well as other ancient ones such as Dindarella, Rebo and Oseleta are harvested in Lenotti’s “La Pra” vineyard, together producing this fine red wine from Northern Italy. Oseleta is an autochthonous red wine variety from the Valpolicella region. The phylloxera epidemic nearly killed it off completely, but today it is cultivated again in places. The Lenotti Massimo has an expressive, elegant bouquet. This red wine is characterized by notes of vanilla and the high-quality wood in which it is refined. On the palate, the Lenotti Massimo is complex, harmonious, dry, velvety and full-bodied. The grapes dried in boxes for 40 to 50 days. To refine this red wine, it was aged partly in larger oak casks and partly in French barriques. The Lenotti Massimo is an ideal accompaniment to roasts, red meat, game and aged cheese.
