Viele der berühmten Weine aus Italien stammen aus der DOC Bolgheri. Bekannt ist die Region für seine Rotweine, wie Ornellaia und Sassicaia. Guado al Tasso gehört zu den wenigen Weingütern, welche auch einen hervorragenden Weißwein vinifiziert. Der Vermentino wurde erstmals 1996 produziert und erfreut sich seither großer Beliebtheit. Zahlreiche Auszeichnungen Jahr für Jahr dokumentieren die hohe Qualität dieses Weines.

Guado al Tasso Vermentino zeigt sich strohgelb im Glas. Leichte grünliche Reflexe spiegeln sich an der Oberfläche. Der Weißwein duftet wunderbar intensiv nach Zitrusfrucht, Holunderblüte und Orangeblüte. Am Gaumen ist er herrlich frisch und ausgewogen. Dank des milden Meeresklimas und einer ständigen Brise bei hoher Sonneneinstrahlung präsentiert sich dieser Vermentino extrem komplex und vollmundig.

Nicht nur solo, sondern auch in Kombination mit mediterranen Vorspeisen oder zu Spargel ein er ein wirklicher Genuss.

This rosé from Château d'Esclans is phenomenal. Fragrant notes of mango and nectarine on the nose. On the palate, spicy and minerally with impressive depth. The finish is exceptionally long. An unforgettable rosé of Côtes de Provence, created mainly of Grenache and a minor proportion Rolle (Vermentino).The grapes for the Château d'Esclans Garrus come from vines that are at least 80 years old. For this rosé the Saignée method was used (90% free run juice, 10% first slight pressing). Eight months matured the wine in oak barrels, with regular bâtonnage, the stirring of the lees. The Wine Spectator writes: "Shows impressive length and precision. A gorgeous rose. "Château d'Esclans Garrus: A rosé at Grand Cru level, and it remains unique in Provence. Just enjoy, for example to pies, grilled fish or seafood in a creamy sauce.
