The Fattoria di Basciano Chianti Rufina is medium in color and fruity in taste. The tannins remain in the background and give the wine its backbone. The Fattoria di Basciano Chianti Rufina glides gently but also clearly over the tongue - a real bravura piece, ideal for sophisticated occasions. The intense bouquet of red fruits with typical aromas of violets is pleasing on the nose.

Der Weinbetrieb Renzo Masi befindet sich in Rufina, einem Städtchen im Tal der Sieve. Es liegt in der Chianti Region in der Toskana in Italien. Hier wird der Chianti Rufina angebaut, der die kleinste unter den Chianti-Lagen ist und zusammen mit dem Chianti Classico die besten Böden und die besten klimatischen Voraussetzungen für optimale Erträge hat. Es entstehen hier Chianti-Weine, die komplex, intensiv und besonders langlebig sind.

Renzo Masi ist ein Familienbetrieb, der 1932 von der Familie Masi gekauft wurde. Das Gut liegt auf einem Hügel links des Flusses Sieve. Ein Turm aus dem 13. Jahrhundert überragt das Anwesen. Renzo Masi hat den Betrieb gegründet und sein Sohn Paolo ist nach der Absolvierung der Weinbaufachschule in den elterlichen Betrieb eingestiegen. Er leitet heute das Unternehmen.

Die Weinkellerei Masi Renzo verarbeitet Trauben aus dem gesamten Chianti D.O.C.G.-Gebiet von oftmals langjährigen Vertragspartnern, die den hohen Qualitätsanforderungen von Masi entsprechen.

Auch beim Testamatta 2018 kommen die Trauben aus diesen Weinbergen, die biologisch bewirtschaftet werden. Das gibt dem Wein seinen unverwechselbaren Stil. In der Nase duftet der Rotwein markant nach Brombeere, Blaubeere, Trüffeln und weißem Pfeffer. Der aus 100% Sangiovese hergestellte Testamatta 2018 zeigt sich frisch, fruchtig und wunderbar elegant. Am Gaumen mit leichten mineralischen und erdigen Noten, begleitet von präsenten seidigen Tanninen. Ausgesprochen intensiv und mit viel Finesse bis zum Finale.Passt sehr gut zu Rinderbraten oder Pasta.
