Planeta Chardonnay from the DOC Menfi is one of the best white wines in Italy and also enjoys an excellent international reputation. With impressive richness, elegance and ageing potential, it impressively proves that the Chardonnay grape variety can also produce great class in Sicily's warm climate.

Notes of ripe yellow peaches, acacia honey and marzipan combine with fine roasted aromas. The pure Chardonnay with a clear, golden depth is impressively fresh and creamy on the palate, with an invigorating acidity. There are also beautiful mineral nuances and a powerful, balanced finish. This white wine from Sicily matured for 11 months in French barriques, 50% of which were new and 50% second and third fill barrels.

Selected yeast strains were used for fermentation. The wine then underwent malolactic fermentation and matured on the lees for ten months with regular pumping over.
