Tagaro Muso Rosso Primitivo Di Manduria DOP

The Tagaro Muso Rosso Primitivo di Manduria DOP comes from the best-known growing region for Primitivo in Apulia - Manduria. In this particularly warm region, the grapes ripen under ideal climatic conditions and develop an impressive aromatic density. The Tagaro winery interprets Primitivo here in an elegant, modern way: powerful, concentrated and smooth at the same time.

The Tagaro Muso Rosso is already impressive in the glass with its deep ruby red color and garnet reflections. The nose reveals an opulent bouquet of ripe dark fruits such as blackberries, black cherries and plums, accompanied by notes of cinnamon, vanilla, tobacco and a hint of cocoa. On the palate, it is full-bodied and full-bodied, with soft tannins, a fine spiciness and a long, harmonious finish. The skillful balance between fruit sweetness and freshness makes it an ideal representative of its origin.

The grapes for this Primitivo are harvested late in order to achieve maximum ripeness and concentration. After temperature-controlled fermentation, the wine is matured in French and American oak barriques. This maturation gives the wine additional depth, a velvety texture and fine roasted aromas without masking its characteristic fruitiness.

Muso Rosso Primitivo di Manduria is an excellent accompaniment to hearty meat dishes such as fillet of beef, game or braised lamb. This red wine is also a delight with mature hard cheese or an antipasti platter with air-dried ham and olives.

We recommend decanting the wine before serving.
