Tagaro Cinquenoci Primitivo Puglia IGP

The Tagaro Cinquenoci Primitivo Puglia IGP is a red wine full of character from the southern Italian region of Apulia, produced by Masseria Tagaro. This wine is made from 30-year-old Primitivo vines that thrive on chalky, red soils in Salento.

After harvesting, the grapes are destemmed and first undergo cold maceration at 4-5°C for 48 hours. This is followed by fermentation with selected yeasts and a longer maceration period. After malolactic fermentation, the wine matures for six months in oak barrels and a further three months in the bottle.

In the glass, the Cinquenoci has a deep red color with violet reflections. The bouquet is intense and persistent, characterized by notes of ripe plum jam and blackcurrant. On the palate, it is full-bodied and balanced, with the sweetness of ripe fruit perfectly intertwined with a rich tannin structure.

This Primitivo harmonizes perfectly with hearty pasta dishes, stews and red meat-based main courses. Serve at a temperature of 18-20°C to develop its full spectrum of aromas.

Epicuro Primitivo Puglia IGT
This 100%-Primitivo with its dark purple colour offers a wonderful variety of flavors with notes of plums and sweet cherries. There is also a subtle spiciness and - typical of Primitivo - a full-bodied fruitiness. On the palate warm, with ripe and soft tannins. The finish is long-lasting. The vines grow on dark, ferruginous and partly volcanic soils. The very hot summers and temperate winters are ideal for the grape variety Primitivo, which is one of the hallmarks of vineyards in Apulia.
