The Israeli Golan Heights Winery has made a name for itself in the wine world thanks to many international awards. The winegrowers cultivate their wines on 600 hectares. The volcanic soil is ideal for obtaining high-quality grapes, which later become wonderful wines.

The Yarden Cabernet Sauvignon offers aromas of dark berries, herbs and earthy nuances on the nose. There are also toasted notes and fine aromas of oak. The pure Cabernet Sauvignon also impresses with its balance and a long-lasting finish.

Golan Heights Winery

Die Golan Heights Winery wurde 1983 in Katzrin gegründet und zählt heute zu den bekanntesten Weingütern der Region. Das Weingut hat sich durch zahlreiche internationale Auszeichnungen einen hervorragenden Ruf erarbeitet. So wurde beispielsweise ein Yarden Merlot beim internationalen Weinwettbewerb Mundus Vini prämiert.

Die Weinberge der Golan Heights Winery liegen nördlich des See Genezareth in Höhenlagen zwischen 400 und 1.100 Metern. Die insgesamt rund 600 Hektar Rebfläche profitieren von vulkanischen Basaltböden und einem besonderen Mikroklima, das ideale Voraussetzungen für die Erzeugung hochwertiger Trauben bietet.

Die Kombination aus Höhenlage, kühlen Nächten und sorgfältiger Weinbergsarbeit verleiht den Weinen ihre charakteristische Frische und Frucht. Für die Vinifikation setzt das Weingut auf moderne Kellertechnik und präzise Qualitätskontrolle. Langjähriger Kellermeister ist Victor Schoenfeld, der sein Weinbaustudium in Kalifornien absolvierte.

This wine estate from the Saint-Julien appellation has been owned by the Meffre family for three generations. They skillfully purchased additional vineyards and have been able to continuously improve the quality since taking over the estate in 1961. Despite everything, this Cru Bourgeois has always remained moderately priced, so that Château du Glana must be regarded as one of the best values in the appellation.Château du Glana is an incredible flatterer. Yarden Pinot Noir

Yarden Pinot Noir comes from the northernmost and generally considered the best appellation in Israel's Galilee region. The vineyards are located on a volcanic plateau between 400 and 1200 meters above sea level. The wine has fruity notes of bright raspberries and cranberries. There are also notes of violets and a hint of spice. An elegant expression of French oak plays in the background. The Yarden Pinot Noir matured for 16 months in mostly new oak barrels. The wine has a firm body and a smooth finish.Although the Yarden Pinot Noir has already reached drinking maturity, it will improve in the bottle over the next few years and should remain in good drinking condition for around five to eight years. The wine is an excellent accompaniment to a variety of dishes, such as Peking duck, seared tuna with mango salsa or creamy mushroom risotto.
