This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Malbec has its origins in the cool vineyards of the Golan Heights. With the Yarden Mount Hermon Cabernet-Sauvignon - Merlot, the Golan Heights Winery offers a beautiful wine for everyday enjoyment.

This red wine from Israel offers aromas of wild berries, plums and a fine spiciness on the nose. Spicy and harmonious on the palate, the finish is fine and elegant. A fruity wine that can be drunk young. A vintage that benefited from the fact that there were no extreme weather conditions, allowing the grapes to ripen evenly and develop their full aromas.

Golan Heights Winery

Die Golan Heights Winery wurde 1983 in Katzrin gegründet und zählt heute zu den bekanntesten Weingütern der Region. Das Weingut hat sich durch zahlreiche internationale Auszeichnungen einen hervorragenden Ruf erarbeitet. So wurde beispielsweise ein Yarden Merlot beim internationalen Weinwettbewerb Mundus Vini prämiert.

Die Weinberge der Golan Heights Winery liegen nördlich des See Genezareth in Höhenlagen zwischen 400 und 1.100 Metern. Die insgesamt rund 600 Hektar Rebfläche profitieren von vulkanischen Basaltböden und einem besonderen Mikroklima, das ideale Voraussetzungen für die Erzeugung hochwertiger Trauben bietet.

Die Kombination aus Höhenlage, kühlen Nächten und sorgfältiger Weinbergsarbeit verleiht den Weinen ihre charakteristische Frische und Frucht. Für die Vinifikation setzt das Weingut auf moderne Kellertechnik und präzise Qualitätskontrolle. Langjähriger Kellermeister ist Victor Schoenfeld, der sein Weinbaustudium in Kalifornien absolvierte.

Heute werden die Weine der Golan Heights Winery in mehr als 25 Länder exportiert und genießen weltweit hohe Anerkennung bei Weinliebhabern und Fachkritikern.

The vineyards are located on a volcanic plateau between 400 and 1200 meters above sea level. The wine has fruity notes of bright raspberries and cranberries. There are also notes of violets and a hint of spice. An elegant expression of French oak plays in the background. The Yarden Pinot Noir matured for 16 months in mostly new oak barrels. The wine has a firm body and a smooth finish.Although the Yarden Pinot Noir has already reached drinking maturity, it will improve in the bottle over the next few years and should remain in good drinking condition for around five to eight years.
