The Yarden Chardonnay from Golan Heights Winery combines elegance, finesse and international style. The Golan Heights Winery cultivates its wines at altitudes between 400 and 1,200 meters. The Galilee is considered the best wine-growing region in Israel - the winery, which launched its first wine on the market in 1984, is correspondingly highly decorated internationally.

The Yarden Chardonnay is full-bodied and offers a multi-faceted bouquet. Notes of citrus fruits, pears and apples, but also nuances of tropical fruits characterize this invigorating white wine. A powerful yet elegant white wine that owes its remarkable freshness to the relatively cool climate on the Golan Heights.

Golan Heights Winery

Die Golan Heights Winery wurde 1983 in Katzrin gegründet und zählt heute zu den bekanntesten Weingütern der Region. Das Weingut hat sich durch zahlreiche internationale Auszeichnungen einen hervorragenden Ruf erarbeitet. So wurde beispielsweise ein Yarden Merlot beim internationalen Weinwettbewerb Mundus Vini prämiert.

Die Weinberge der Golan Heights Winery liegen nördlich des See Genezareth in Höhenlagen zwischen 400 und 1.100 Metern. Die insgesamt rund 600 Hektar Rebfläche profitieren von vulkanischen Basaltböden und einem besonderen Mikroklima, das ideale Voraussetzungen für die Erzeugung hochwertiger Trauben bietet.

Die Kombination aus Höhenlage, kühlen Nächten und sorgfältiger Weinbergsarbeit verleiht den Weinen ihre charakteristische Frische und Frucht. Für die Vinifikation setzt das Weingut auf moderne Kellertechnik und präzise Qualitätskontrolle. Langjähriger Kellermeister ist Victor Schoenfeld, der sein Weinbaustudium in Kalifornien absolvierte.

Heute werden die Weine der Golan Heights Winery in mehr als 25 Länder exportiert und genießen weltweit hohe Anerkennung bei Weinliebhabern und Fachkritikern.

The grapes come from vineyards planted in calcareous clay and gravel soils between 240 and 500 meters in the areas Ora, Tramin and Egna.The grapes were gently pressed immediately following harvest.
