Winery Trenz Steinhaus Riesling dry

A Riesling with character! Notes of apple, grapefruit and black pepper are joined by a planty floral note in the restrained bouquet. On the palate, the Trenz Steinhaus is juicy and soft with an almost sweetish fruit. The fine acidity is reflected in a fresh lemon aroma. The long finish is characterized by multi-layered mineral traces. A wonderfully vinified German Riesling that shows the finesse of the 40-year-old vines around Johannisberg.

The soils of the Trenz Steinhaus Riesling are interspersed with Taunus quartzite and have a very high rock content under a layer of soil around 10 cm thick. This gives the dry white wine its incredible minerality. Michael Trenz and his team combine tradition and modernity. The high acceptance of Trenz wines underlines their great popularity among wine connoisseurs.

Enjoy this great Riesling wine from the Rheingau at a drinking temperature of 8-10 °C with white meat, fish, asparagus dishes and vegetarian cuisine.

Our chocolate tip: Try a white chocolate with a hint of Madagascar vanilla with this dry Riesling.

Weingut Trenz

Weingut Trenz Johannisberg Riesling Kabinett feinherb
The grapes for the Trenz Riesling Kabinett feinherb (off-dry) come from the renowned Johannisberg vineyard, where the grapes can be left longer on the vines than in regions at lower altitudes. This enables the grapes to reach a higher must weight, resulting in more intense sweetness and a finer acidity. The slope gradient of more than 30% also ensures more intense ripening of the grapes. The Trenz Johannisberg Riesling Kabinett feinherb (off-dry) is redolent of ripe pears and blood oranges, offering slightly peppery notes. It is juicy and fresh on the palate, showing aromas of peach and passion fruit. The finish is characterised by lovely mineral notes. The off-dry Johannisberg Riesling Kabinett from the Trenz estate goes beautifully with seafood and light salads.
