This Pinot noir from the top slopes of the Herrenberg vineyard in the Rhineland-Palatinate has a nose redolent of minerals, cherries and black berries complemented by smoky notes and fine hints of toasted oak. The Jean Stodden Herrenberg Spätburgunder Großes Gewächs is powerful and pleasantly fruity on the palate with striking but elegantly integrated tannins as well as a fine minerality and density and a long finish. The Recher Herrenberg wine matured for 18 months entirely in new barriques. The meticulous hand-selected grapes come from the excellent Herrenberg an der Ahr vineyard located in the village of Rech. The central south-facing steep slopes with their weathered slate soil consisting of greywacke have gradients of up to 60%, providing the ideal basis for the optimal ripening of the grapes under the intense rays of the sun.

Jean Stodden Recher Herrenberg Spätburgunder 2021

The Pinot noir grape variety is said to be the queen of the Ahr wine-growing region. This Pinot noir from the Rhineland-Palatinate matured for 17 months in both new and used barriques. The wine shows correspondingly fine and smoky notes that harmonize perfectly with the aromas of red berries such as strawberry and blackberry, cloves and wood, complemented by subtle hints of coffee. On the palate, the Jean Stodden Recher Herrenberg Pinot Noir is fresh and has a good, clear structure.In addition, the wine has a lovely depth and a long finish with harmoniously integrated tannins. This high-quality Pinot noir comes from the excellent Herrenberg vineyard located in the Ahr region. The central south-facing steep slopes with their weathered slate soil have gradients of up to 60%, thus providing superb conditions to benefit fully from the intensity of the sun. Rotweine von der Ahr sind schon etwas Besonderes. Der Meyer-Näkel Blauschiefer Spätburgunder QbA trocken wächst auf Schieferböden an extremen Steillagen, die eine selektive Handlese unverzichtbar machen. Nach einer Standzeit von bis zu 18 Tagen auf der Maische reift er über zehn Monate in zwei bis vier Jahre alten Barriques.Heraus kommt ein Wein mit Finesse, der den mineralischen Charakter der Schieferböden widerspiegelt und gleichzeitig ein solides Gerbstoffgerüst mit feinen Holznoten aufweist. In der Nase werden Sie dunkle Beeren finden, eine leicht blumige Note und einen dezenten Gewürzton. Am Gaumen überzeugt der Spätburgunder durch einen langen, eleganten Abgang.Genießen Sie den Wein leicht gekühlt bei einer Temperatur von 16 °C. Er passt zu Geflügel mit kräftigen Soßen oder zu gebratenem Fleisch.

The Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) Grauwacke from Meyer-Näkel is one of the flagship wines for finely structured, mineral red wines from the Ahr - a region known for its exceptional Pinot Noirs.This red wine pampers your palate with notes of red cherries, forest fruits and a subtle spiciness reminiscent of cocoa beans. A delicate and elegant tannin structure rounds off the Pinot Noir Grauwacke from Meyer-Näkel. This is what the "G" in the name stands for.The fragrance is characterized by aromas of red fruits and berries. It can be enjoyed slightly chilled between 15 °C and 17 °C. An ideal summer wine with spicy dishes, grilled poultry or herb terrines. Meyer-Näkel does itself credit with the Pinot Noir "G" QbA dry.A short maceration period and ten months of ageing in used oak barrels ensure a balanced ratio of fruit aromas and tannins.

So ist der Meyer-Näkel Us de la Meng ein Paradebeispiel dafür, wie Erfahrung und Talent im Weinbau zu herausragenden Tropfen führen.Der trockene Wein ist eine Cuvée aus Spätburgunder, der Hauptrebe des Weinguts Meyer-Näkel, sowie Dornfelder und Frühburgunder. Die Mischung wird durch Probieren zusammengestellt. Sie lagert sechs Monate in großen Fässern, die dem Wein von der Ahr eine zarte und ausgewogene Holznote verleihen. Entdecken Sie Aromen von dunklen Beeren und Pflaume. Am Gaumen runden Anklänge von Schokolade und Gewürzen wie Zimt und Nelke diesen Wein ab.Herzhafte Gerichte wie Blutwurst oder der berühmte Rheinische Sauerbraten sind die perfekten Begleiter für diese gelungene Cuvée.
