The Chablis 1er Cru Les Fourneaux is among the top ten percent of wines in Burgundy that are permitted to bear the “Premier Cru” designation. In the glass, it displays a radiant gold color with green highlights. On the nose, it offers aromas of pear, citrus, and a hint of walnut. Die Domaine des Genèves ist ein traditionsreiches Familienweingut im Herzen der bekannten Weißweinregion Chablis in der Bourgogne im nördlichen Burgund, Frankreich. Seit den 1970er-Jahren gehört das Anwesen der Familie Aufrère, heute geführt von Stéphane Aufrère, der die Rebflächen mit großer Leidenschaft und Respekt vor dem Terroir bewirtschaftet. Die Weinberge des Gutes erstrecken sich über rund 21 Hektar und umfassen klassisch bepflanzte Parzellen in den Lagen Petit Chablis, Chablis und mehrere Premier Cru-Terrassen wie Les Fourneaux, Vaucoupin und Mont de Milieu – allesamt auf den kimmeridgischen Kalkböden, die der Region ihre charakteristische Mineralität und Frische verleihen.
