Purple Angel is a selection of our best Carmenère selected from our two Estates (50% sourced from Apalta, were its sunny vineyards give elegance to the wine and 50% from our Marchigue Estate, a coastal cool weather vineyard that produces low yields naturally and provides strength, concentration and a deep, intense carmine color to it. A fantastic wine that blends both elegance and powerPurple Angel showcases the spicy touches typical of Carmenère, with ripe, gentle and soft tannins, it’s a full bodied, concentrated wine that combines red berries and dark chocolate on the mouth with alluring cigar box, blackberries and plums aromas on the noseThe wine is blended with a touch of Petit Verdot to enhance its structure, color and cellaring potential. A mouth filling wine with a very long finish, definitely a unique Carmenère!Denomination of Origin: Purple Angel is a blend of 92% Carmenère and 8% Petit Verdot from the Colchagua Valley. Winemaking: Grapes are carefully hand picked. The clusters go through a grape by grape selection made by hand with a team of 14 people, in which only good fruit is allowed into the tank. During the 18 months of barrel aging in new French oak barrels, the wine is racked 3 times to get rid of lees, and allow some oxygen to interfere in the evolution and maturation of this wine.When the final blend is made, if the wine is totally clear, and has no microbiological pressure, there is no need for filtration or fining….so the wine goes unfiltered to the bottling process.Decant for at least an hour for better enjoyment, allowing the wine to open up.

Montes Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2023

The Montes Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon is an expressive red wine from the Chilean Valle de Colchagua, one of the most renowned wine regions in South America.This Chilean red wine is characterized by a dense ruby red color with dark reflections. The intense aroma of fruits such as cassis and wild strawberries is accompanied by black cherries and a hint of chocolate: dark berries on the surface, delicately underlined by a hint of oak, supported by the solid and ripe tannins of this dry red wine. The Cabernet provides the power (85%), the Merlot the fruitiness (15%). Gentle and refined on the finish.The Montes Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon is an excellent accompaniment to all spicy, aromatic meat dishes. Grilled, flash-fried or braised, with game and wild fowl such as partridge or pheasant. Enjoy this Cabernet Sauvignon at a recommended drinking temperature of 18 °C.

Montes Reserva Chardonnay 2024

The Montes Reserva Chardonnay has the typical fruity style of this grape variety with a juicy peach aroma.The 6-month ageing in American oak barrels gives it its balanced, subtle vanilla note without being overloaded or overly rich.The grapes are destemmed and go straight into the press. The must ferments and matures for 6 months in American oak. Only 50% of the Chardonnay undergoes malolactic fermentation to keep it fresh and full-bodied. Diatomaceous earth and layer filtration take place before bottling.This wine comes from the Curico Valley, where the cold breeze from the foothills of the Andes ensures that the grapes ripen slowly.Parts of this Chardonnay were matured in new French oak barrels with multiple layers to preserve its fruity character. This process is carried out at controlled temperatures to help preserve the fruity aromas. The wine is pale gold in color with greenish hues, aromas of butter, a hint of vanilla and tropical fruit. Fresh and fruity on the palate with good body and balance, creamy complexity and a lingering, elegant finish.Drink the Chardonnay with salads with fried fish and shellfish, white meat and pasta with cream sauce.

Der Montes Reserva Merlot besitzt im Glas eine tiefe Kamin-rote Farbe und eine starke Komplexität von Aromen. Im Bouquet stoßen fruchtige Noten von schwarzen Pflaumen und Brombeere, auf Noten von Dulche de Leche, Vanille, Süßigkeiten und ein Hauch von Gewürzen. Im Gegensatz zu Champagner verbringt der Montes Sparkling Angel Brut nicht 24 Monate, sondern 36 Monate auf der Hefe. Montes Wings Carmenère 2021

The Montes Wings Carmenère is one of Chile's top wines and comes from the exclusive vineyards of Finca Apalta in the Colchagua Valley. The vines grow on steep slopes, around 200 meters above the plains of the valley, on deep granite soils with a high clay content, excellent drainage and a south-westerly orientation. This unique combination ensures controlled temperatures during the hot summer days and a particularly even ripening of the grapes. The grapes are fully exposed through targeted foliage work, which increases the concentration of aromas and reduces the typical bitter substances of this variety.The grapes are harvested by hand, individually selected and transported to the winery in 10 kg crates. During processing, the best grapes are first selected and destemmed before further selection of the berries takes place - only the optimally ripened grapes make it into the wine. This is followed by 5-7 days of cold maceration at 10 °C to gently extract aromas and color. Alcoholic fermentation is then carried out over 12-15 days at 26-29 °C with selected yeasts in order to preserve the characteristic properties of the Carmenère grape.After fermentation, the red wine remains on the skins for a while to develop volume and depth before being filled into French oak barrels. 80% of the wine matures in new barrels, 20% in second to third use barrels, for a total of 16 months. This ageing gives the wine elegant tannins, depth and complexity.In the glass, Montes Wings has a deep crimson color. The nose seduces with intense aromas of ripe red and black fruits such as plums, sour cherries and blackberries, complemented by fine spicy notes, cassis liqueur and hints of pastry. Subtle roasted aromas, vanilla, slightly sweet liqueur nuances and roasted nuts result from the long barrel ageing. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, silky and harmonious, with soft, perfectly integrated tannins and a long-lasting, complex finish.This Carmenère is an excellent accompaniment to fine meat dishes, such as lamb chops with rosemary, pork ribs or refined cannelloni. It is also an ideal choice with braised beef dishes and autumnal game dishes. Serve at 17-19 °C and ideally decant about 30 minutes before drinking to allow the aromas to develop to their full potential.

MontGras Antu Chardonnay 2022

The straw-yellow MontGras Antu Chardonnay from Chile is classic and elegant. The grapes for this single-varietal Chardonnay are pressed directly after the harvest and filled into French oak barrels, 30% of which are new. Fermentation is partly natural and partly malolactic. The 13-month maturation in barriques gives the Antu Chardonnay its special notes of vanilla, pineapple, ripe peaches and a hint of pear. On the palate, the MontGras Antu Chardonnay is creamy with a medium body and fresh acidity.Enjoy this fruity white wine with pasta, white meat, fish with herb sauces or even sushi.

MontGras Quatro 2022

A wonderful taste of Chile: Four outstanding grape varieties compose this singular and distinctive red wine. Quatro is the outcome of a judicious oak aged blend that shows the optimum balance between ripe fruit and velvety smooth tannins, as well as the true characteristic of this particular vintage year.The blend from the Colchagua Valley has a deep ruby red with purple notes. On the nose a unique combination of ripe fruit, spices and floral notes given by each of the varieties (Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Carmenère & Malbec), framed by touches of toast and cedar from a nicely integrated oak ageing.On the palate firm and powerful, with plenty of ripe and nicely textured tannins that give structure and silkiness. Loads of juicy ripe black fruit nicely combined with vanilla and toast from the oak ageing.
