Scheiblhofer The Legends

Erich Scheiblhofer, named Austria's Winemaker of the Year by the renowned Falstaff magazine, pays tribute to the great wines of France with his creation and, with Scheiblhofer The Legends, also shows that his blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot belongs in precisely this league.

The traditional cuvée has a stimulatingly intense aroma of blackcurrant, cherries and blueberries. There are also delicately spicy notes of cloves, caramel, tobacco and coffee beans.

On the palate, Scheiblhofer The Legends is soft and powerful at the same time, with a full body, a fine tannin structure and a subliminal minerality that characterizes the finish. The interplay of aromas is intense and offers a wonderful interplay of the multi-faceted notes from the bouquet.

The grapes for The Legends come from the best vineyards on the Andreasberg in Andau in Burgenland, not far from Lake Neusiedl. The Austrian red wine was matured for 16 months in new French barriques, which is why the wine is also characterized by toasty oak aromas.

The deep ruby red blend will continue to be a delight until the early 2030s. Enjoy Scheiblhofer The Legends at a drinking temperature of 15 to 17 degrees. This impressive top wine is a great accompaniment to dark meat or game with strong sauces. It is also a very good choice with meatloaf or goulash.

Hensel Aufwind Cabernet-Merlot Rosé
The Hensel Aufwind Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot Rosé presents itself in a strong garnet red. The wine's color is as intense as its aroma is expressive. The first thing you notice is the scent of strawberries and raspberries, followed by red bell pepper and a hint of vanilla with a light herbal spice. On the palate, the dry rosé wine is complex and powerful, almost reminiscent of a red wine. The Cabernet Sauvignon provides a fine tannin structure and a lush volume. The Merlot brings a beautiful fruity note and harmonizes the Aufwind rosé wonderfully. This makes the wine from the Palatinate suitable for a summer barbecue as well as a warming companion in fall and winter.
