The Hensel Aufwind Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot Rosé presents itself in a strong garnet red. The wine's color is as intense as its aroma is expressive. The first thing you notice is the scent of strawberries and raspberries, followed by red bell pepper and a hint of vanilla with a light herbal spice. On the palate, the dry rosé wine is complex and powerful, almost reminiscent of a red wine.

The Cabernet Sauvignon provides a fine tannin structure and a lush volume. The Merlot brings a beautiful fruity note and harmonizes the Aufwind rosé wonderfully. This makes the wine from the Palatinate suitable for a summer barbecue as well as a warming companion in fall and winter.

Thomas Hensel ist einer von 20 Winzer aus Bad Dürkheim. Sein 17-Hektar Weinberg befindet sich direkt neben dem lokalen „Flughafen“. Die Familie Hensel besitzt seit über 300 Jahren ihre Lagen in und um Bad Dürkheim. Reben wurden hier seit jeher im großen Rahmen veredelt. So war es nicht verwunderlich, dass Thomas Hensels Händchen für die Pflanze und sein Gespür für trendige Rebsorten ihn zu einem aufstrebenden qualitätsbewussten Winzer machte.

Die Philosophie von Thomas Hensel basiert auf höchsten Qualitätsansprüchen durch Handarbeit im Weinberg und selektive Lese nur gesunder Trauben bei schonendem Ausbau. Hensels Weingut ist wie er selbst jung. Seine Weine jedoch, die haben sich bereits fest etabliert.

The Hensel Aufwind Pinot Gris comes from the renowned Palatinate region and is produced by the traditional Thomas Hensel winery in Bad Dürkheim. Thomas Hensel is one of 20 winegrowers from Bad Dürkheim. His 17-hectare vineyard is located right next to the local "airport" - or rather sports airfield. Thomas is ambitious, energetic and courageous enough to be innovative.The Hensel Aufwind Pinot Gris is a fruity, fresh Burgundy cuvée with aromas of ripe honeydew melon, yellow banana, Piedmont hazelnuts and bourbon vanilla. The subtle use of barriques adds complexity and spice to this wine without losing any of its freshness and independent character.
