Die Rebsorte Blaufränkisch (Lemberger) ist in Österreich weit verbreitet und Erich Scheiblhofer, vom Falstaff-Magazin 2021 zum Winzer des Jahres gekürt, versteht es, die Qualitäten der Rebsorte voll zur Entfaltung zu bringen.

Der Rotwein aus dem Burgenland duftet wunderbar animierend nach Schwarzkirschen, Blaubeeren, getrockneten Pflaumen und würziger Brombeere. Der Duftstrauß wird perfekt abgerundet durch Noten von Feigen und Zartbitterschokolade.

Am Gaumen ist der Scheiblhofer Blaufränkisch Classic saftig und frisch-fruchtig, mit mittlerem bis vollem Körper und präsenten, schön eingebundenen Tanninen. Mineralische Aromen begleiten das Finale.

Hans Tschida ist nicht grundlos mit seinem Weingut schon häufiger als Süßweingut des Jahres ausgezeichnet worden. Zeigt er doch immer wieder welch wunderbare Süßweine er vinifizieren kann. Mit dem aus 100% Merlot hergestellten Tschida Spätlese Merlot beweist Hans, dass auch Rebsorten die eher selten für Süßweine verwendet werden, Wunderbares hervorbringen können.Im Glas zeigt sich der Tschida Spätlese Merlot in einem hellen, glänzenden Ziegelrot mit himbeerfarbenen Elementen und hellen orangen Reflexen. Abwechslungsreiche Aromen nach Weichseln, Mandarinenschalen, Kirschblüten, Sanddorn und dem Gelee von Zitrusfrüchten betören die Nase. Die Struktur des Süßweines ist geschmeidig mit einem feinen, runden Säurespiel. The fruity notes harmonize wonderfully with notes of chocolate, cloves, tobacco and toasted oak.On the palate, the creation by Erich Scheiblhofer, named Austria's Winemaker of the Year by Falstaff magazine in 2021, is powerful, with very present, ideally integrated tannins and an intensely fruity depth of aroma (black cherries). Mordor (‚Schwarzes Land‘) ist in der weltberühmten „Der Herr der Ringe“-Saga der Hort des Bösen in Mittelerde, dem fiktiven Schauplatz der Saga. Der Rotwein Scheiblhofer Mordor ist ebenfalls kraftvoll und zieht Genießerinnen und Genießer sofort in seinen Bann. Bedrohlich ist die Kreation aus dem Burgenland allerdings keinesfalls. Im Gegenteil: Glücklich kann sich schätzen, wer eine Flasche dieser hochwertigen Assemblage aus Blaufränkisch, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon und Syrah (Shiraz) öffnen darf.Der tief dunkle, granatrote Wein duftet herrlich animierend nach schwarzen Brombeeren und Orangenzesten (dünne Streifen der äußersten, farbigen Schicht aus der Schale). Diese Noten harmonieren wunderbar mit einer rauchig-würzigen Untermalung und Tönen von Edelholz, Nougat und Schokolade. Die Tannine sind gekonnt harmonisch eingebunden.12 Monate wurde der österreichische Rotwein in neuen, französischen Barriques ausgebaut. Der Scheiblhofer Mordor ist noch bis in die frühen 2030er-Jahre ein Hochgenuss.

Zantho Zweigelt Burgenland

Der reinsortige Zantho Zweigelt Burgenland wurde vom östereichischen Weingut Zantho vinifiziert. Die Reben wachsen auf trockenen, steinigen und mineralischen Böden. Die Region Burgenland gehört zu den heißesten und trockensten Weianbaugebieten Österreichs. Das Terroir liefert ausgezeichnete Bedingungen für die Herstellung von charaktervollen Rotweinen.Die Gärung findet in Edelstahltanks bei 28-32°C statt. Die Reifung erfolgt ebenfalls für ca. 8 Monate in Edelstahl.Die Farbe des Zweigelts ist tief Rot. In der Nase zeigt sich der Rotwein in herrlichen Fruchtaromen von Kirschen und dunklen Beeren, die von einem Hauch Zimt unterstützt werden. Am Gaumen schmeichelt der Klassiker ebenfalls mit saftiger Frucht gepaart mit feiner Würze. Der volle Körper wird von einer feinen Säure getragen, die in einem langen und vollen Abgang enden.
