With the Portillo line, the Bodegas Salentein has produced a range of lovely easy-drinking wines, one of which is the Portillo Chardonnay. It is a bright yellow with light green glints in the glass. The nose pampers your senses with aromas of tropical fruit such as mango, kiwi, pineapple or fresh lemon. The wine is incredibly fresh on the palate, with a fine acidity, complemented by a soft minerality.

The Bodegas Salentein Portillo Chardonnay is a perfect accompaniment to various fish dishes. It is also lovely on its own to enjoy as an aperitif.

Salentein Barrel Selection Malbec
The ‘Barrel Selection’ line from the Salentein winery comprises pure varietal wines whose vines grow in vineyards situated between 1050 and 1700 metres above sea level, irrigated by the clean meltwater from the Andes mountains. The stony soils protect the vines from excessively cool temperatures at night. During the day, the hot climate and lots of sunshine form the ideal basis to create wines that wonderfully reflect the characteristics of the terroir of the Uco Valley. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay vines as well as the pure varietal Malbec are cultivated here.The Salentein Barrel Selection Malbec is an intense, slightly purplish red in colour. It is complex on the nose, offering an abundance of red fruit and black berries as well as light floral notes. Each sip softly caresses the palate with lots of fruit and a delicate sweetness. The finish is long and very smooth. This Malbec is fresh and fruity, with a lovely intensity.We recommend drinking it at a temperature of 16 °C (60.8 °F). The wine goes beautifully with grilled dishes, beef, lamb or cheeses. Der Jean Bousquet Chardonnay reifte zuerst im Edelstahltank, anschließend 4 Monate auf der Flasche. Nicht wie andere Weine, hat dieser Chardonnay bewusst keine Holzreifung erfahren. Dadurch ist der Weißwein ein perfekte Essensbegleiter mit einzigartigen Fruchtaromen. Die Trauben von dem Weingut Domaine Bousquet stammen aus den Regionen Mendoza und Tupungato in Argentinien, welche hervorragende Klimabedingungen auf einer Höhe von 1000 Meter für das Reifen der Reben bieten.Der reinsortige Chardonnay kommt aus einem biologischen Anbau und zeigt sich in einer hellgelben Farbe mit grünen Reflexen.
