The Clos de los Siete has an enticing nose offering intense notes of ripe fruit such as bilberries, cassis and raspberries, complemented by nuances of pepper, roast aromas, hints of sweet liquorice and a fine spice. This remarkable, very dark blend, consisting mainly of Malbec and smaller percentages of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc is wonderfully balanced and velvety on the palate, with fine tannins and an elegant structure. The Clos de los Siete produced by Michel Rolland has a prolonged finish.

Seventy percent of this red wine from Argentina was aged in French oak casks, of which one third each were new, first- and second-fill barrels. You’ll enjoy discovering this marvellous blend from the Valle de Uco with T-bone steaks, lamb or aubergine casserole. It also goes beautifully with stews and sophisticated barbecues.

This wine has a deep dark inky garnet colour with a touch of red brick evident on the rim. This is an intensely complex wine with intense dark berry fruit and crème de cassis notes on the nose. There is an inky heady dark character on the nose reminiscent of dark chocolate, cardamom spice and roasted fennel bulb. Always evident on this wine and a hallmark of every vintage is the hint of Eucalyptus or mint. The palate is full and rich mirroring most of what is evident on the nose. Displaying cocoa, mocha notes ripe berry fruits and a spicy grip.
