Château de Malle Sauternes AOC 2018

The Chateau de Malle Sauternes AOC offers intense notes of citrus fruit and, according to René Gabriel, lots of freshly extracted honey. This Sauternes is fresh, creamy and invigorating on the palate, underpinned by a lovely acidity. Twenty-five per cent of this assemblage, consisting mainly of Sémillon and almost one third of Sauvignon Blanc, was aged in new oak casks. Neil Martin awards this wine 91-93 points in Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate and writes, amongst other things, ‘This is simply a Sauternes of top quality, both elegant and graceful.’ René Gabriel awards this wine 18 out of 20 points and assesses it as follows: ‘With regard to the nose, this is one of the most sumptuous Sauternes. It is creamy on the palate, with lots of suppleness and a wonderfully fruity finish. The Chateau de Malle Sauternes AOC easily keeps pace with the great wines!’You’ll enjoy this dessert wine with spicy dishes such as chicken curry or duck with peaches. Château Filhot Sauternes 2020

Sauternes ist ein französisches Weinbaugebiet und bekannt für seinen edelsüßen Weißwein. Es gehört zum Anbaugebiet Bordeaux.Sauternes-Weine werden vorwiegend aus den Rebsorten Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc und Muscadelle erzeugt. So auch der Chateau Filhot Sauternes. Die Semillontraube hat einen 60 prozentigen Anteil in diesem Wein, da sie besonders anfällig für die Edelfäule ist. Diese sogenannte Botrytis ist ein qualitätssteigender Prozess, bei dem sich Zucker und Aromen in der Traube anreichern, die die Basis für erlesene Süßweine bilden. Sauvignon wird mit 36% eingesetzt und verleiht den Weinen die notwendige Säure. Wobei 4% der Muscadele Traube wegen seines Aromas eingesetzt werden.Die Gärung des Weins findet in Edelstahltanks bei einer Temperatur von 19 - 21°C statt. Die Länge der Gärung beträgt 10 - 30 Tage, abhängig von der Rebsorte und der Konzentration. 10 Monate danach werden die Rebsäfte verschnitten. Der Weißwein reift insgesamt 2 Jahre in französischen Eichenfässern, wovon 1/3 neu sind.Der Chateau Filhot Sauternes besitzt eine honigartige Süße, die von Aprikose, Pfirsich und Noten von Karamell und Mandeln begleitet wird.Servieren Sie den Wein zu traditionellen Gerichten wie Foie gras, Entenleber, Pastete und Obstdesserts.

Château La Nerthe Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc AOP 2023

The Château La Nerthe estate is one of the most venerable wineries of the renowned Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation and with its 222 acres of vineyards one of the largest estates in this region. The estate’s history dates back to the 14th century. From the beginning, the Château La Nerthe Châteauneuf-du-Pape has been synonymous with outstanding wines from the Côtes du Rhône region.This also applies to the excellent 2020 vintage. The fully ripe grapes were harvested by hand so that they could preserve their balance and full aromas. The pressing occurred carefully and under constant control. The fermentation was also meticulously carried out at low temperatures in order to maintain the aromas.The Roussanne grapes were aged in oak casks, of which one third were new barrels. The La Nerthe 2020 is a cuvée consisting of Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, Clairette, Bourboulenc, and was produced on a purely organic basis. The wine matured for 9 months, remaining in contact with the yeast. It was blended only a short time before bottling.The Château La Nerthe Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2020 is a pale lemon in colour. On the nose, it offers aromas of stone fruit (peach, apricot) and white flowers. It is wonderfully complex on the palate, showing notes of citrus fruit (lime) and exotic fruit (pineapple, mango), with a good balance between acidity and richness. The wine is elegant, with an expressive finish that offers long-lasting, spicy and mineral notes.The Château La Nerthe Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2020 is a wonderful and harmonious accompaniment to fish with butter sauce, seafood and poultry.
