With the Chateau Dereszla Tokaji Furmint, the Château Dereszla winery, based in the north-east of Hungary in the Tokaj wine region, shows just how distinctive the old white wine variety Furmint from Hungary is. The bouquet is wonderfully complex, with notes of dried apricots, grapefruit, marmalade, a fine minerality and spice. There are also the typical nuances of an enchanting honey sweetness. Dry, fruity and fresh on the palate, with animating acidity and an underlying, sweetish spiciness. It also has a pleasantly creamy texture. With a long, spicy finish.
