Château Fontebride ist ein Süßwein aus dem Sauternes, dem wohl bekanntesten und renommiertesten Anbaugebiet edelsüßer Weine, welches südlich von Bordeaux gelegen ist. Château Nairac Barsac AOC 2011

Fragrant notes of quince, honey, peach, vanilla and yellow damson characterize the multi-layered bouquet of the Chateau Nairac Barsac 2011. This impressive sweet wine from the Sauternes region is initially oily on the palate with a fine acidity. René Gabriel assesses it as follows: “This wine shows quite an intense sweetness, atypical for a Barsac. On the palate, it is fat outside and delicately peppery on the inside, somewhat polarizing with regard to sweetness and acidity, with an oily flow. However, before the wine becomes too heavy, the inner minerality balances it out. This is undoubtedly once again a truly great Nairac.” According to Gabriel, this Nairac can be declared a wine of the century.

Château Rieussec 2014

Ninety-three per cent Semillon, 5 per cent Sauvignon Blanc and 2 per cent Muscadelle unite to create the Chateau Rieussec 2014. This wine has a lot to offer. Its fascinating, multi-layered bouquet offers aromas of honeydew melon, citrus fruit, wild flowers and candied fruit, along with harmoniously integrated notes of wood. René Gabriel writes about this wine, ‘The grapy bouquet offers notes of light sultanas, boiled nectarines and pectin, with a subliminal toughness.’ He awards it 18 out of 20 possible points.Initially, the Chateau Rieussec 2014 is discreet on the palate. Subsequently, it shows a great fullness. In addition, the wine has a clear sweetness, a lovely acidity and a perfect balance as well. This is once again an outstanding Sauternes wine that is awarded an impressive 95-97 points by critic Neil Martin in Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate.

Die Trauben stammen aus Sudwestsizilien von der Insel Pantelleria und von Reben die zwischen 50 und 60 Jahre alt sind. Die Böden haben einen vulkanischen Ursprung und besitzen einen hohen Anteil an Zink, Kalium und Phosphor, was den Boden besonders fruchtbar macht.Der Donnafugata Kabir Moscato di Pantelleria präsentiert sich im Glas glänzend und strohgelb. The Glenwood Grand Duc Noblesse from the Glenwood vineyard is an exceptional sweet wine made from 29-year-old vines that thrive on the well-drained soils of Clovelly and Avalon. Without artificial irrigation, the grapes slowly develop their full aroma.Before pressing, they undergo an additional selection process to guarantee the highest quality. Only the best, noble rotten berries are used. After pressing, the juice is filled into small, selected French oak barrels with a capacity of 225 liters, where it is fermented and fermentation is stopped naturally at 130 g of residual sugar per liter.The result is a harmonious sweet wine with a golden yellow color and seductive notes of nuts, honey and citrus fruits, with subtle similarities to the famous Sauternes.
