Paserene Chardonnay 2021

The Paserene Chardonnay is an expressive premium white wine from the cool Elgin growing region on the South African coast. The Paserene winery, known for its uncompromising quality standards and sustainable viticulture, brings a luxurious white wine to the glass with this Chardonnay, which masterfully combines floral freshness, fine minerality and a velvety texture.The Chardonnay grapes are carefully harvested by hand and gently pressed. After a short resting phase in stainless steel tanks, spontaneous fermentation takes place in French oak barrels, giving the wine depth and complexity. The wine is aged for 24 months, with around 30% of the barrels already used. This ensures an elegant balance between fruit, freshness and fine wood structure without overpowering the wine. The mineral-rich Ferricrete soils of Elgin and the cool climate also ensure taut acidity and great finesse.In the glass, the Chardonnay is a bright gold with greenish reflections. The nose reveals complex aromas of citrus blossom, neroli and fine blossom honey, accompanied by roasted almonds and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, the wine is creamy and precise at the same time - notes of honey, brioche and ripe stone fruit meet a clear minerality and lively acidity. It comes from two of South Africa's best-known wine regions: the cool, mineral-rich Elgin Valley and the fruit-driven Franschhoek. This harmonious combination is reflected in the glass with brilliant fruit, clear acidity and an elegant, tropical-mineral profile.The grapes come in equal parts from Elgin and Franschhoek and are carefully processed. After fermentation in matured, steamed barrels, the wine matures for 16 months - an ageing process that gives the Sauvignon Blanc structure and depth without losing its freshness. The philosophy in the cellar is based on minimal intervention in order to bring out the natural profile of the grapes and the terroir in the best possible way.In the glass, Emerald presents itself in a bright green-gold color. Raka Sauvignon Blanc 2025

The Raka Sauvignon Blanc impresses with its fresh fruit, lively acidity and clear aromas - a white wine full of character from the Western Cape in South Africa that brings pure joie de vivre to the glass. Made from 100% pure Sauvignon Blanc, it delights with its tropical nose, round mouthfeel and animating finish. Ideal for warm days, fresh dishes or as a soloist on the terrace.The nose alone makes you want more: peach, passion fruit, guava and gooseberries characterize the aromatic bouquet. On the palate, the wine is fruity and full-bodied, with a fine hint of citrus and a refreshing, clear finish that lingers for a wonderfully long time.The grapes for this wine were carefully harvested by hand, sorted and placed directly into the press, where they rested on their skins for 8 hours to extract their typical aromas in the best possible way. After pressing, the must was fermented at a controlled 16 °C with pure yeast cultures to preserve freshness and fruit. Extended ageing on the fine lees gives the wine additional volume. It then clarified naturally by gravity before being gently filtered and bottled.Raka Sauvignon Blanc is the ideal accompaniment to seafood, sushi, light fish dishes or cold cuts. It also cuts an excellent figure with summer salads or simply as an aperitif.Recommended drinking temperature: 8-10 °C
