Kaiken Terroir Series Cabernet Sauvignon

Like "Kaikenes" - Patagonian wild geese crossing the Andes between Chile and Argentina - the famous winery Viña Montes has gone the way from Chile to Argentina to lead the project “Kaiken” to success. Kaiken uses the best growing areas of Argentina - Maipú, Cruz de Piedra, Ugarteche, Agrelo and Valle de Uco. The blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Malbec and 8% Petit Verdot comes from vineyards in Agrelo and Valle de Uco. It has a very dark reddish-purple colour. On the nose it offers the classic Cabernet aromas of black currants and juicy cherries, elegantly highlighted with the subtle scent of violets of Malbec and perfectly integrated oak notes. On the palate, Cabernet Sauvignon provides the juicy dark berry flavors, Malbec complements with silky mature tannins and Petit Verdot completes the blend with clear structure and depth, powerful with a rich, fresh fruit. The finale has a nice length. Enjoy the blend, matured to 50% for ten months in French oak barrels, with hearty lamb or roast beef in red wine sauce, grilled beef steaks, spicy pasta dishes and spicy mature cheeses.

Montes Alpha Carménère

The Chilean Alpha Carménère from the Viña Montes winery sparkles ruby red in the glass with violet-colored edges. On the nose, the aromas of black pepper, ripe red berries and chocolate typical of the Carménère grape variety are noticeable, finely underlaid with a hint of vanilla and hints of dark plums.On the palate, the dry red wine is soft and harmoniously balanced, the tannins are gentle, the oak notes excellently integrated, very seductive, with wonderful length.Decant the wine 30 minutes before drinking at a temperature of 17-19 °C. The Montes Alpha Chardonnay has a light yellow color with greenish reflections. It has notes of tropical fruit, such as papaya, peach and grapefruit, which blend perfectly with the vanilla notes and sweet spices it contains.The wine is fresh and pleasant on the palate. Acidic notes of yoghurt and dulce de leche smooth out this Chilean wine excellently and give it persistence.Enjoy this versatile wine with salmon, lobster or fresh shellfish. Montes Alpha M

MONTES ALPHA"M" is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. A powerful wine with very good level of soft and rounded tannins. Intense dark red colour. The wine is elegant and has a very well defined character. The 5% of Petit Verdot is adding an extra element of complexity. There is an pleasant and harmonious marriage of fruit and the French oak. The structure of this wine will keep it for at least 20 years. On the palate, it is perfectly balanced, full-bodied and superbly voluptuous on the mid-palate with a rewarding, lingering after taste of mature grapes and acidity that reflects its superb structure.MONTES ALPHA "M" can be enjoyed now or cellared for several years (it will continue to improve in the bottle for at least 20 years).

Montes Alpha Malbec

The Montes Alpha Malbec comes from the vineyards of Apalta and Marchigüe in the Colchagua Valley, Chile. The granite soils with varying degrees of water retention capacity and the combination of fluvial and alluvial material give the wine balance and depth. Grapes from both regions are used equally for the Montes Alpha Malbec.The grapes are harvested by hand, carefully selected and destemmed. After maceration, controlled fermentation with selected yeasts takes place over 7-10 days. The wine then undergoes malolactic fermentation and matures for 12 months in French oak barrels (50% new) before the final blending.Deep carmine red with violet reflections. The nose reveals ripe fruit such as raspberries, blueberries, dried plums and black cherries, complemented by subtle notes of leather, smoke, vanilla and toasted wood. Velvety and balanced on the palate with a long, harmonious finish.The Montes Alpha Malbec is an excellent accompaniment to red and white meat, especially grilled pork or chicken with barbecue sauce, but also to stew, chili con carne or Mexican mole. Serving temperature: 17-19 °C. It is recommended to decant it approx. 30 minutes before serving so that it can develop its aromas optimally.
