This pure varietal Cabernet Sauvignon from Sicily’s south coast is redolent of currants and ripe cherries, complemented by lovely, spicy notes of wood. The Feudo Arancio Cabernet Sauvignon DOC from the province of Agrigento is intense on the palate, with a good structure and fine, elegantly integrated tannins.This ample, supple and very aromatic red wine matured for 12 months in French barriques. The Cabernet Sauvignon is purple in colour and is an ideal accompaniment to grilled red meat, game, cold cuts and various spicy cheeses. Due to its structure and fullness, the Feudo Arancio Cabernet Sauvignon goes also beautifully with fillet of pork in puff pastry.

Feudo Arancio Cantodoro Riserva Sicilia DOC 2022

In the Feudo Arancio Cantodoro Riserva Sicilia DOC from the Feudo Arancio winery, Nero d'Avola and Cabernet Sauvignon show a great deal of breed. The careful blending gives this wine the necessary depth. The ageing in barriques adds a velvety vanilla note. The result is very full-bodied and the best proof of Silzillia's winemaking skills.The bouquet is typical of the grape variety, with lots of dark berry and fruit aromas. On the palate, the Cabernet has fine tannins that complement the fruitiness of the Nero d'Avola. The aromatic depth of barrique maturation with vanilla, licorice and plum is particularly evident on the finish.This wine with a strong character likes complexity on the table. Serve it with red meat, game or a homemade Bolognese, but also with very mature cheese. Give it some time to breathe and serve it at 16 to 18 °C.

Der Fina Caro Maestro Sicilia IGT ist sozusagen das Flagship des Weingutes Fina. Ein Rotwein, bei der die Traubenkombination aus Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot und Petit Verdot eher an einen Bordeaux-Wein oder einen Supertuscan erinnert. Bruno Fina, Gründer und Besitzer des Weingutes, arbeitete jahrelang am Sizilianischen Institut für Rebe und Wein und machte viele Versuche mit internationalen Rebsorten auf den Böden Siziliens. Was er hier in die Flasche zaubert ist wirklich außergewöhnlich und lässt sich durchaus mit den großen Weinen aus Bordeaux und der Toskana vergleichen und das zu einem sehr attraktiven Preis. Der Fina Caro Maestro Sicilia IGT präsentiert sich im Glas mit einer tiefen, rubinroten Farbe. In der Nase zeigt der Wein viele Beerenaromen von Blaubeere, über Johannisbeere bis hin zu Holunderbeeren, gepaart mit intensiver Würze. Am Gaumen ist der Caro Maestro von Fina wunderbar tiefgründig, sehr ausgewogen mit perfekt geschliffenen Tanninen. Ein Rotwein mit großer Substanz, der ein geschmeidiges, saftig kraftvolles Mundgefühl vermittelt. Die 24-monatige Reifung in Barriquefässern verleihen dem Wein nicht nur zusätzliche Vanillenoten, sondern ein extrem starkes Rückgrat.Genießen Sie die samtige Textur und die ausgewogene Struktur des Fina Caro Maestro solo bei einem Gespräch mit guten Freunden. Tasca Regaleali Vigna San Francesco Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

Dieser Cabernet Sauvignon aus Sizilien ist ein Ausnahme-Wein. Robert Parker schrieb einst von einem intensiven Bukett mit rebsortentypischen Noten von „Brombeeren, Rosmarin und getoasteter Würze“. Er sieht in dieser Kreation der sizilianischen Tasca-Familie „das großartige Resultat in einem heißen Jahrgang“.Am Gaumen beeindruckt der Tasca Regaleali Vigna San Francesco Cabernet Sauvignon mit seinem vollen Körper und großer Aromatiefe, die Ausgewogenheit von reifen Fruchtaromen und einer klaren Mineralität ist faszinierend. Das Finale klingt noch außergewöhnlich lange nach. Die Trauben für diesen Cabernet Sauvignon aus Sizilien stammen von einem einzigen Weinberg im oberen Teil der Lage San Francesco in 570 Metern Höhe. Der Rotwein reifte 18 Monate in 225-Liter-Barriques.
