The Glen Carlou Grand Classique matured for 18 months in French barriques, of which about one third were new barrels. The blend, consisting mainly of Cabernet Sauvignon and smaller percentages of Malbec, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, is redolent of ripe blackberries, dark chocolate and violets and offers nuances of cedar, eucalyptus and dried peaches. On the palate, this ruby-red wine from South Africa is full-bodied, round and balanced, with fine tannins and a prolonged finish.

Enjoy the Glen Carlou Grand Classique with spicy meat dishes. This red wine is also lovely on its own and guarantees wine connoisseurs a genuine delight that leaves nothing to be desired.
