Der Bosstok Pinotage von MAN Family Wines ist ein charakterstarker Rotwein aus Südafrika, der die einzigartige Aromatik dieser Rebsorte auf moderne Weise interpretiert. Mit seiner fruchtigen Intensität, feinen Würze und sanften Tanninen ist er ein wunderbarer Vertreter des südafrikanischen Weinbaus.

Im Glas zeigt sich der trockene Wein in einem tiefen Rubinrot mit violetten Reflexen. Die Nase wird von dunklen Beeren, Kirschen und Pflaumen geprägt, begleitet von dezenten Röstaromen, Schokolade und feiner Vanille. Am Gaumen präsentiert sich der Pinotage weich, saftig und gut ausbalanciert, mit einer angenehmen Struktur und einem würzig-fruchtigen Nachhall.

Die Trauben stammen aus traditionellen Buschweinanlagen (Bosstok), die für niedrige Erträge und hohe Konzentration sorgen. Nach der sorgfältigen Lese erfolgt die temperaturkontrollierte Gärung in Edelstahltanks, gefolgt von einer Reifung in französischen und amerikanischen Eichenfässern für zusätzliche Tiefe und Komplexität.

Der MAN Family Wines Bosstok Pinotage ist ein idealer Begleiter zu gegrilltem Fleisch, würzigen Eintöpfen oder herzhaften Burgern. Auch zu Pizza und Pasta mit kräftigen Saucen passt er hervorragend.

Für den optimalen Genuss empfehlen wir, diesen Rotwein bei einer Temperatur von 16–18 °C zu servieren.

2001 begannen José Conde und die Brüder Tyrrel und Philip Myburgh gemeinsam Wein zu kreieren. 30 Farmer in der Agter-Paarl Region versorgen das Weingut mit 95% der Trauben. Fast 80% ihrer Anbauflächen werden nicht bewässert, sind eher ertragsarm und bei mehr als der Hälfte handelt es sich um „bush vines“, also Weinreben ohne Drahtrahmen-Erziehung. Ein Zeichen dafür, dass es alte Rebstöcke sind.

Der Name MAN Family Wines hat übrigens eine charmante Geschichte: José Conde und die Brüder Myburgh schildern es so, dass sie ihren Ehefrauen beibringen mussten, dass mit ihrem Traum vom Weingut auch viel Zeit für Privates geopfert werden würde. „Um den Frieden in unseren Familien zu wahren, nahmen wir die Initialen unserer Ehefrauen – so erklärten wir Marie, Anette und Nicky, dass wir an den meisten Wochenenden beschäftigt sein würden. ,Es ist für Euch!‘“

Der Boekenhoutskloof The Chocolate Block ist ein unverwechselbares Geschmackserlebnis aus Südafrika. In der Nase vereint dieser trockene Blend aus knapp drei Viertel Syrah (Shiraz) sowie kleineren Anteilen von Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache Noir, Cinsault und Viognier vielfältige Noten: Intensive Kirschnoten, Kardamom, süßer Tabak, Espresso und ein Hauch von Parfüm kommen hier zusammen.
