Akribisch gelesene Tinto Fino- und Merlot-Trauben von verschiedenen Lagen der Bodegas y Viñedos Montecastro, auf denen die Reben zum Teil mehr als 100 Jahre alt sind. 18-monatiger Barriqueausbau in hochwertigem französischen und amerikanischen Eichenholz:  Der Montecastro Reserva Ribera del Duero bringt alles mit für einen spanischen Rotwein der Kategorie „Ausnahmeerscheinung“. Seit vielen Jahren kreiert die Bodegas y Viñedos Montecastro im Norden Spaniens exzellente Rotweine, zu denen zweifellos auch der Montecastro Reserva zählt.

Im Glas ein tiefdunkles, fast undurchdringliches Rot mit violettem Schimmer. Der Tinto Fino (90%) duftet faszinierend vielschichtig nach frischen Früchten wie Blaubeeren, schwarzen Kirschen und Himbeeren sowie Pflaumen. Auch Nuancen von Zitrusfrüchten bereichern das Bouquet. Hinzu kommen Noten von Kräutern und feine mineralische Töne sowie, durch den Ausbau in hochwertigem Eichenholz, Noten von Vanille, Röstaromen und Barrique.

Am Gaumen ist der trockene Reserva aus der Ribera del Duero-Region saftig, voluminös und einnehmend fruchtig. Die Aromendichte und -tiefe sind eindrucksvoll. Aromen von reifen dunklen Beeren im wunderbaren Zusammenspiel mit Röstnoten sowie Aromen von Kakao und Eukalyptus. Hinzu kommt eine schöne Würze. Die Tannine sind meisterhaft eingebunden, das lang anhaltende Finale rundet das Geschmackserlebnis ab.

Der herausragende spanische Tempranillo, von Robert Parker als Spitzenwein geadelt, hatte auch seinen Anteil daran, dass die Anbauregion Ribera del Duero im Norden Spaniens seit Jahrzehnten eine eindrucksvolle Erfolgsgeschichte schreibt. Freuen Sie sich also mit dem Fernández Rivera Tinto Pesquera Crianza auf einen spanischen Rotwein der Extraklasse. Der intensiv granatrote Wein duftet verführerisch nach dunklen Früchten wie Pflaumen, Schwarzkirschen und Maulbeeren. Dazu kommen harmonische, würzige Noten von Zimt, Vanille, Süßholz und Tabak. James Suckling verleiht dem Fernández Rivera Tinto Pesquera Crianza 93 Punkte. Er schreibt zum Bouquet des reinsortigen Tempranillo, der 16 Monate im Barrique ausgebaut wurde: „Frische schwarze Pflaumen und schwarze Kirschen, die die Eichenwürze aufnehmen, zusammen mit einem Hauch von Tabak.“Am Gaumen ist der Tinto Pesquera Crianza trocken und kraftvoll, mit einer schönen, fruchtbetonten Aromentiefe (Maulbeeren, Süßholz, getrocknete Feigen). Die feinkörnigen Tannine sind wunderbar eingebunden, das würzige Finale hallt noch sehr lange nach.Auch Suckling ist voll des Lobes: „Ein einnehmender und saftiger Ribera del Duero mit angenehm weichen Tanninen, die der konzentrierten Frucht Struktur verleihen. Lang und klar. Jetzt trinkreif, aber es ist besser, ihm ein Jahr Zeit zu geben, um weicher zu werden.“ Noch bis 2032 ist dieser Tempranillo ein Genuss-Garant. Entdecken Sie diese Kreation der Familia Fernández Rivera bei einer Trinktemperatur von 15 bis 17 Grad. Wir empfehlen, ihn 30 Minuten vor dem Genuss zu dekantieren. Der edle, finessenreiche Rotwein ist ein perfekter Begleiter zu gegrilltem Fleisch, Spanferkel oder Milchlamm mit Rosmarin. Auch zu reifem Käse eine sehr gute Wahl.

The Matsu El Viejo is additionally equipped with elegance and finesse, reflecting the flawless artistry of winemaking with the Tempranillo grape, which is known as Tinta de Toro in this region.The Matsu El Viejo, which means ‘the old man’, is a selection of grapes from vineyards that are more than 100 years old. The vines in these low-yield vineyards are biodynamically cultivated. After the fermentation and the subsequent malolactic fermentation, the wine matured for 16 months in French oak casks. The wine was deliberately not filtered, thus preserving its full aroma structure. The Matsu El Viejo is a deep cherry-red in the glass with purple glints on the rim. It has a wonderfully intense bouquet of black fruit. Due to the ageing in casks, the Matsu El Viejo shows roast aromas and notes of smoke and spices that are wonderfully structured and integrated. On the palate, the wine is fleshy, ripe and round. The noticeable but fine tannins give the El Viejo a light sweetness. The finish is once again characterised by the harmony between fruit and wood aromas.The Matsu El Viejo is a typical accompaniment to meals, and stands up well to  hearty sauces and intensely flavoured grilled dishes.
