Mauro Cosecha Tinto is the entry-level wine from Bodegas Mauro, although to speak of entry-level here is actually completely wrong. In terms of quality, this red wine brings maximum enjoyment to the glass. Bodegas Mauro has been known for its consistently high quality for many years. The wine, which consists of 80% Tempranillo and small proportions of Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, clearly stands out from the multitude of wines from Spain. This is evidenced by the many annual awards it receives from wine critics. In the glass, it is an almost impenetrable purple red. The nose is incredibly concentrated and the Mauro Cosecha Tinto smells wonderfully of black fruits and exotic spices. The palate is endowed with clear primary notes and precise tannins. A wonderfully refined, polished wine that impresses with its mineral notes and rich fruit aromas. As winemaker Mariano Garcia describes it, the special feature of this wine is its remarkable freshness combined with a supple feel.

Aged for 15 months in French and American oak, the Mauro Cosecha Tinto not only has a long finish, but also expresses its longevity.

There are quite a few people who claim that Aalto wines represent the best of Spanish viticulture in the Ribera del Duero region. The South Australian “The Dead Arm Shiraz” from d'Arenberg is a remarkable wine in many ways. The bouquet is seductive, with earthy notes and flavors of dark fruit, fennel and spicy nuances.
