Der Zevenwacht Syrah ist ein lebhafter Wein mit weißen Pfeffer und süßen, würzigen, floralen Tönen von Jasmin und Veilchen. Am Gaumen mit einem reichlichen und intensiven Geschmack von schwarzen Johannisbeeren.

Eine weiche Tanninstruktur unterstreicht die samtige Textur dieses südafrikanischen Rotweines.

Das Weingut Zevenwacht liegt an der Stellenbosch Wine Route, in der südafrikanischen Weinregion Stellenbosch. Die Ursprünge des Weingutes reichen weit in die Geschichte Südafrikas zurück:

Im 17. Jahrhundert gründete der Weinfarmer Jean Le Roux das Weingut ?Langverwacht?. Im Jahre 1798 übernahm Pieter de Waal das Weingut. Später ging auch das Nachbarweingut ?Zevenfotein? in seinen Besitz über und beide Weingüter wurden verschmolzen zu ?Zevenwacht?.

Heute werden auf ca. 200 Hektar des insgesamt 450 Hektar umfassenden Besitzes Trauben angebaut. Neben dem Weinbau betreibt Zevenwacht eine eigene Käserei und engagiert sich touristisch.

The Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah grape varieties characterize this Vignes de Nicole Rosé. The grapes grow on the hills of the Herault Valley on loamy, chalky soils and are vinified individually for this cuvée, with the fermentation process lasting two weeks at 17 degrees Celsius. The wine from Domaines Paul Mas then matured on the lees for 40 days. New coated cement tanks were used. The concentration of fruit was maintained through regular pumping over.The Vignes de Nicole Rosé is characterized by a very clear, light pink color. The nose reveals aromas of red berries, cherries and tropical fruits. On the palate, the French wine is wonderfully fresh, slightly acidic, powerful but round and with a good length on the finish.This dry rosé wine is simply perfect with seafood, shellfish or pork.
